摘要: A user designates a two-sided copying mode, a reduced-scale copying mode, a vertical or horizontal binding direction, and the like from a control panel. An original image is magnification-varied at a designated reduction magnification, and the reduced image is stored in a page memory. In the case of an odd page (front surface) in a single-sided or two-sided copying mode, a &ggr; conversion circuit reads out and outputs stored image data in the normal order, thus forming images. On the other hand, in the case of an even page (back page) in the two-sided copying mode, whether the horizontal or vertical binding direction is designated is checked. If the binding direction agrees with the reversing axis direction of a paper sheet upon copying, images are read out in the normal order. When the vertical binding direction is designated, images are read out in an order opposite to the normal order, so that each page is rotated through 180°. Images are copied in the designated layout.

摘要: This invention provides the following environment. That is, an original document file corresponding to a document to be copied is specified from image data of that document to be copied, and a print process is made based on the specified file so as to prevent deterioration of image quality. Also, when a document to be copied is not registered, a registration process is executed to suppress deterioration of image quality in an early stage. Furthermore, since the document is converted into vector data, re-use of such document is facilitated, and deterioration of image quality can be suppressed even when an image process such as enlargement or the like is made. To this end, when an original digital file cannot be specified, an apparatus of this embodiment executes a vectorization process (S54), converts the obtained vector data into a data format that can be re-used by an application (S55), and registers the converted file in a file server (S56). With this registration process, since the location of the file is settled, that location information is composited on an image to be scanned using an identifier such as a two-dimensional barcode or the like (S48), and the composite image can be printed (S49). Even when the printed document is scanned again, a registered digital file can be easily specified.

摘要: Stored digital data is searched for on the basis of an input image, difference information is extracted by comparing the retrieved digital data and the input image, and the difference information is composited to the digital data. Digital data generated by composition is stored. When no digital data is retrieved, the input image is converted into vector data, and the image that has been converted into the vector data is stored as digital data. Obtained region segmentation information and an input image are composited, the composite image is displayed on an operation screen of an MFP, and a rectangular block to be vectorized is designated as a specific region from the displayed region segmentation information. A user designates the specific region by designating rectangular blocks in an image using a pointing device.

摘要: This invention provides an image processing method which allows easy re-use of image information that is stored to minimize deterioration of image quality and the storage capacity. Storage means is searched for original digital data corresponding to each input image. If no original digital data is found, the input image is converted into vector data, and is stored as digital data in the storage means. A sheet including at least one of information associated with the found original digital data when the original digital data is found in the search step and information associated with digital data which is obtained by converting the image into the vector data in the vectorization step and is stored in the storage step when no original digital data is found in the search step is generated, thus providing a sheet that allows easy re-use.

摘要: Two or more original illumination units are mounted on an image reading apparatus. In reading a patched original, an image read while being illuminated along one direction is compared with an image read while being illuminated along another direction or along two directions including the one direction and another direction. In accordance with an image data difference between the two images, image processing or illumination light amount changing is performed to erase shades to be caused by a patched portion of the original.

摘要: A color copying machine includes a reading unit for reading a color original, a correction unit for performing color correction processing of a color image signal read by the reading unit, an image forming unit for forming a color image based on a correction output from the correction unit, and a setting unit for setting a correction characteristic of the color correction processing based on the color image signal read by the reading unit. The color copying machine is thereby able to compensate for differences in and/or changes of the color characteristics of the reading unit or the image forming unit.

摘要: A color image processing system for performing undercolor removal. The system includes input of a color image signal, generation of a grayness signal from the color image signal, generation of a darkness signal from the color image signal, and performance of undercolor removal based on the grayness signal, the darkness signal, and a black signal corresponding to the color image signal. The system also includes control of an amount of undercolor removal performed on the color image signal so that a gradient of an amount of undercolor removal performed on the color image signal relative to the grayness signal at a first darkness signal level is lower than a gradient of an amount of undercolor removal performed on the color image signal relative to the grayness signal at a second darkness signal level, wherein the second darkness signal level is lower than the first darkness signal level.

摘要: For the expression of a foreign gene, a virus is provided in which at least a part of a cysteine protease gene present on a genome of a baculovirus has been deleted or substituted by a marker gene. A process is also disclosed for the formation of the virus. A transfer vector for the deletion of a cysteine protease gene is also described. This transfer vector comprises a DNA fragment of a nuclear polyhedrosis virus genome, in which at least a part of a cysteine protease gene has been substituted by a marker gene, and a plasmid vector fragment. Also disclosed is a process for the production of an economic protein. This production process comprises inoculating a host insect with a gene recombination virus, said gene recombination virus having been obtained by deleting or substituting by a marker gene at least a part of a cysteine protease gene present on a genome of a baculovirus or a nuclear polyhedrosis virus; expressing an economic protein gene inserted downstream a polyhedral gene promoter, granulin gene promoter or p10 gene promoter of the gene recombination virus; and collecting the economic protein.
