    摘要: A transmitter is capable of compressing an incoming image with a relatively small delay time and transmit the compressed image data to a receiver. Image data contains at least i pixel values of pixels arranged in line along a single direction, each pixel value being expressed in n bits. A transmitter for compressing such image data and transmitting the image data to a receiver via a transmission path includes a blocking section, a data compression section, and a data sending section. The blocking section takes every p pixel values among the i pixel values in the image data to form a data block, and sequentially outputs a plurality of the data blocks each including the p pixel values. The data compression section reduces an amount of data from each data block outputted from the blocking section and thereby outputs a compressed block. The data sending section sends the compressed block outputted from the data compression section onto the transmission path.

    摘要: The present invention provide a transmission system comprising a transmission apparatus for transmitting audio data of multi channels and auxiliary data required for playback of the audio data, and a receiving apparatus for receiving the audio data and the auxiliary data which are transmitted by the transmission apparatus. A multiplexer of the transmission apparatus creates block data that is composed of 8 frames, and first 1 byte of each frame is allocated to a header having Sync, OE and the like, the second byte is allocated to the auxiliary data including AUX data and copyright protect information, and remaining bytes are used to transmit the audio data. An encryptor carries out an encryption process for the second and later bytes of each frame, and a communication means outputs encrypted data. A communication means of the receiving apparatus receives the encrypted data from the transmission apparatus, a decoder decodes the encrypted data, and a demultiplexer demultiplexes the audio data and the auxiliary data. Therefore, this transmission system transmits multi-channel audio data of the DVD-Audio or the like efficiently on a transmission line using fixed length frames according to the MOST method, and takes measures for copyright protection of audio data.

The stream data packet and the command packet are further multiplexed, and the multiplexed data is transmitted to a transmission path using a synchronous channel. When the command output from a decoding unit is packetized in a second packet processing unit, it is packetized by multiplexing flow control information output from the decoding unit, and is transmitted to the first packet processing unit using a synchronous channel of the transmission path. Based on this flow control information, reading/writing by the drive device is controlled.

    摘要: The present invention provide a transmission system comprising a transmission apparatus for transmitting audio data of multi channels and auxiliary data required for playback of the audio data, and a receiving apparatus for receiving the audio data and the auxiliary data which are transmitted by the transmission apparatus.     摘要: A transmission system includes a transmission apparatus and a receiving apparatus for repeatedly transmitting and receiving a frame with plural time slots at a constant frequency, in which digital audio data of plural channels and auxiliary data required to playback the digital audio data are transmitted using previously allocated time slots. A multiplexer is provided for multiplexing, assuming an area made up of previously allocated time slots that are included in respective frames amounting to a number of a multiple of n as block data when the predetermined encryption unit is n bytes. The digital audio data and the auxiliary data are allocated as the block data wherein the auxiliary data is allocated to the time slots that are located at the same positions of respective plural frames within the block data, and the digital audio data is allocated in the time slots that are located at the same position in the respective frames amounting to the number of a multiple of n in the block data. An encryptor encrypts at least the digital audio data from the multiplexed block data in the predetermined encryption unit and a communication unit transmits the data encrypted in the encryptor, wherein the receiving apparatus decodes the encrypted data transmitted from the transmission apparatus.
