    摘要: An electric discharge machining apparatus comprises a quill 8 movable in the vertical direction, at least one set of linear motor movers attached to the quill, symmetrically about a center axis of the quill, and a single set of linear motor stators facing the set of movers. An electrode mounting device (9) for holding a tool electrode (6) is attached to a lower end of the quill, coaxially with the quill. Preferably, the set of movers includes magnetic plates (12, 14) attached to the quill and a row of permanent magnets (11, 13, 15, 16) arranged on the magnetic plates, and the set of stators includes a yoke (31, 41) and a coil (32, 42) wound around the yoke. The quill has a hole (8a) in its center extending in the vertical direction, and an air cylinder (61) providing counter balance for the load of the quill is preferably disposed in this hole. The quill has a density of 4g/cm3 or less, and is made of, for example, silicon nitride (Si3N4) ceramics or a composite material of a light metal and at least 40% by volume of ceramics.

    摘要: A camera with a battery checking function is provided with a timer for generating an output signal at predetermined time intervals, a memory for storing a calculated time value, an external switch for generating an activating signal for activating the camera, and a microcomputer for activating the camera in response to the activating signal generated by the external switch, for updating the content of the memory in accordance with the output of the timer at first time intervals when the camera is activated, for placing the camera in a standby mode when the activating signal has not been detected for a predetermined period of time, and for updating the content of the memory in accordance with the output of the timer means at second time intervals, longer than the first time intervals, when the camera is in a standby mode. A voltage detector detects the voltage of a battery at third time intervals when the camera is activated and detects the voltage of the battery at fourth time intervals when the camera is in the standby mode. A display indicates the charge level of the battery.

    摘要: A distance measuring device for ensuring accuracy of the positional relationship between the optical axis of a light-receiving lens and the optical center of a light-receiving element obtains distance information data by measuring the distance to a target plate which is 1 meter from the distance measuring device. If the distance information is not smaller than 1.625 meter, a switch is connected to one pair of terminals and the difference between reference output data stored in a control circuit and output data of an AF-IC obtained when the distance to the target plate is measured with the switch connected to the pair of terminals is calculated and stored in a memory circuit. When the value of the distance information data is not greater than 0.375 meter, the switch is connected to another pair of terminals, and output deviation data is stored in the memory circuit 11 in the same way. When the value of the distance information value is smaller than 1.625 meter and greater than 0.375 meter, the switch is connected to a further pair of terminals, and output deviation data is stored in the memory circuit in the same way.

    摘要: A camera capable of imprinting data in which data imprinting means is provided in a control circuit for controlling photographing and power consumption is reduced by appropriately changing intervals for driving a central processing unit (CPU) in accordance to data to be imprinted.A drive signal outputting means 7 is included in the control circuit 1 for controlling photographing and a first drive signal is output from a short time counting means 5 at intervals of one minute and a second drive signal is output from a long time counting means 6 at intervals of 10 minutes, respectively, to a drive signal detecting means 8. When data imprinting mode is set up in a time mode (indicating in unit of minute), the CPU 9 is driven by the first drive signal and time data in a memory 9d is added up at intervals of one minute. When a date mode (indicating in unit of day) is set up, the CPU 9 is driven by the second drive signal and the time data is added up at intervals of 10 minutes. When photographing, the date or time data in the memory 9d is output to data imprinting means 18 to imprint on a film.

    摘要: In the distance measuring device for an automatic focusing camera, the reliability is improved by preventing the device from electric noise, and the structure is simplified so as to provide interchangeability to reduce the production cost. A light receiving lens 2 and a multilayer printed circuit board 3 are mounted on a holder 1. A potting frame 6 is provided on the lens-facing side surface of the printed circuit board 3. An optical sensor 4 and an IC 5 are both mounted within a space 3 enclosed by the potting frame 6, and sealed by a protecting resin 7 simultaneously. Further, resistors S and capacitors C of a distance measuring circuit are mounted on the opposite surface of the printed circuit board 3. Both the surfaces of the printed circuit board 3 are connected to each other via a through hole to construct the distance measuring circuit. The protecting resin 7 transmits light having specified wave lengths. The light reflected from a subject to be photographed is received by the optical sensor 4 after passing through the protecting resin, and a distance to the subject is calculated on the basis of the received light data.

    摘要: A programmable shutter of the type wherein a shutter blade is opened and closed by means of a stepping motor. The motor is rotated in a forward direction by drive pulses of a predetermined fixed period to gradually open a sector while at the same time a light measuring circuit is started. Thus, at the time when an appropriate exposure quantity is reached, the direction of rotation of the motor is forcibly reversed to effect closing of the sector to attain simultaneous measurement of light and exposure.

    摘要: A low cost, low power photometric circuit suitable for use in a low end camera includes a first counter for counting successive pulses produced by a first oscillator having a substantially constant oscillation frequency and a second counter for counting successive pulses produced by a second oscillator having an oscillation frequency which varies in accordance with ambient brightness. The ambient brightness is judged according to outputs of the counters so that even if the oscillation frequency of the second oscillator varies only slightly due to a change in ambient brightness, the slight variation is easily detectable as an accumulated count value. Accordingly, costly, high-precision components are not needed. The low cost photometric circuit requires no microcomputer, analog/digital converter or comparator and can be fabricated in a single integrated circuit operated at a low voltage of 1V or less, and is thus suitable for incorporation into a low end camera.
