摘要: The invention relates to a cooling apparatus for hot bulk material, such as sintered ore. Gaps are defined between respective lower ends of side wall portions of a moveable annular air duct and respective upper ends of side wall portions of a stationary annular air duct, which gaps communicate the air passage in the stationary annular air duct with annular water seal chambers. First seal plates are disposed at respective upper ends of the side wall portions of the stationary annular air duct in relation to respective lower ends of the side wall portions of the moveable annular air duct. Second seal plates are disposed at respective lower ends of the side wall portions of the movable annular air duct. Labyrinth seals are formed by the first seal plates, the side wall portions of the moveable annular air duct, and the second seal plates in combination. This seal arrangement is entirely different from the conventional seal structure which involves sliding contact of seal members with other surfaces. Therefore, the seals are not subject to abrasion and this provides greater ease of maintenance and checking.

摘要: A substrate conveying system wherein, at a substrate transfer position of a conveyance robot, a robot arm is moved upwardly at a normal speed from its lowermost position, and wherein the movement speed is changed to a lower speed at a predetermined position. During upward motion at the lower speed, the substrate is received and, while continuing the upward motion, the movement speed is changed back to the normal speed, at a second predetermined position. The robot arm continues its upward motion to its topmost position, with this normal speed.

摘要: The invention provides an input support method and apparatus having the following merits in a communication-type navigation system. That is, when at least one character relevant to, for example, a destination is inputted from a navigation apparatus to make a search in a server system, it is possible to minimize time spent in waiting for a response from the server system. Accordingly, communication time is shortened, and a pleasant environment for input operation is realized by making the most of information inputted by a user. In the input support method in a communication-type navigation system, a navigation apparatus (1) and a server system (4) are connected via a communication network (3). The input support method is comprised of the following steps: a first step of obtaining candidate characters for next input and the number of candidates pertaining to an input character string from the server system (4) via the communication network (3), and storing them into a cache memory (14) provided in the navigation apparatus (1); a second step of, at least when an input character string is updated at the navigation apparatus, searching the cache memory for candidate characters following the updated input character string and the number of candidates pertaining to the updated input character string; and a third step of, when the candidate characters following the updated input character string and the number of candidates pertaining to the updated character string have not been stored in the cache memory as yet, transmitting the updated input character string to the server system.

摘要: An image forming apparatus has an image forming unit and a film-heat-type fuser over which a sheet with an unfixed toner image passes and on which are positioned a first temperature-measuring device centered on the fuser so that a sheet always passes over that device and a second temperature measuring device disposed away from the center so that large sheets will pass over the second temperature measuring device and small sheets will not pass over the device when being conveyed correctly. The device also has a temperature control mechanism, a sheet size detector and throughput control, so that the throughput control changes throughput when the sheet size detector determines that a small sheet is being conveyed and the difference between the temperatures of the first and second temperature measuring devices is less than a predetermined value as the sheet passes over the fuser.

摘要: The invention provides multilayered polymethylpentene-containing release films, processes for making the same and for their use in preparing articles comprises cured fiber reinforced epoxy, phenolic or polyacrylate compositions which file use as aerospace structural elements. The films have improved release properties when exposed to high temperatures. The films are non-oriented and multilayered comprising a polyamide layer, a polymethylpentene layer and an adhesive interlayer therebetween. The a polyamide layer has a heat stabilizer; and polyamide blend composed of from about 30% to about 80% of a nylon 6 polymer having a number average molecular weight of at least about 40,000; from about 10% to about 30% of a nylon 6,66 copolymer having a number average molecular weight of at least about 15,000; and from about 5% to about 40% of a nylon 6,12 copolymer having a number average molecular weight of at least about 10,000. The a polymethylpentene layer has a heat stabilizer; and at least one polymethylpentene homopolymer, polymethylpentene containing copolymer or a blend thereof. The adhesive interlayer is attached between a surface of the polyamide layer and a surface of the polymethylpentene layer.
