摘要: A method for producing polypropylene-based resin expanded beads includes dispersion, blowing agent impregnation, and foaming steps. Beads used in the dispersion step include a core layer having a polypropylene-based resin as a base material resin, and a fusion-bonding layer covering core layer; the beads fusion-bonding layer includes carbon black and a NOR-type hindered amine; a carbon black blending ratio is adjusted to 0.5 wt % or more and 5 wt % or less; and an amine blending ratio of the beads is adjusted to 0.03 wt % or more and 0.5 wt % or less; the polypropylene-based resin expanded beads have a surface on which a fusion-bonding layer is located; the fusion-bonding layer includes the carbon black and hindered amine; a carbon black blending ratio is 0.5 wt % or more and 5 wt % or less; and a blending ratio of the hindered amine is 0.03 wt % or more and 0.5 wt % or less.

摘要: Foamed articles including a foamed thermoplastic elastomeric material, methods of making the foamed articles, and methods for manufacturing articles of footwear, apparel, and athletic equipment incorporating such foamed articles are provided. In one aspect, a method for making a foamed article comprises placing an article comprising a foamable material and carbon dioxide in a vessel, maintaining the vessel at a first pressure and first temperature at which the carbon dioxide is a liquid and carbon dioxide is soluble in the foamable material, optionally exposing the infused article to a second temperature and second pressure, and subjecting the article to a third pressure and third temperature at which the infused carbon dioxide phase transitions to a gas, thereby expanding the foamable material into a foamed material and forming the foamed article.

摘要: A foam sheet includes a polylactic acid resin composition that includes a polylactic acid resin. The polylactic acid resin includes 98% mol % or greater of D-lactic acid or L-lactic acid that is a constituent monomer unit of the polylactic acid resin. An amount of the polylactic acid resin is 98% by mass or greater relative to a total amount of organic matter of the foam sheet. The foam sheet has a bulk density of 0.063 g/cm3 or greater and 0.250 g/cm3 or less. A surface roughness Sq (root mean square height of the surface) of the foam sheet defined by ISO 25178 is 7 μm or less.

摘要: Methods for manufacturing articles of footwear are provided. In various aspects, the methods comprise utilizing additive manufacturing methods with foam particles. In some aspects, the additive manufacturing methods comprise increasing the temperature of a plurality of foam particles with actinic radiation under conditions effective to fuse a portion of the plurality of foam particles comprising one or more thermoplastic elastomers. Increasing the temperature of the foam particles can be carried out for one or multiple iterations. The disclosed methods can be used to manufacturer articles with sub-regions that exhibit differing degrees of fusion between the foam particles, thereby resulting in sub-regions with different properties such as density, resilience, and/or flexural modulus. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.

The supercritical thermoplastic foam elastomer material comprises a thermoplastic elastomer, talc powder, a chain extender and an auxiliary material. According to the invention, a TPU raw material is injection-molded into a shape corresponding to a midsole, and can be directly molded after foaming without being cut. In addition, because the TPU raw material is integrally formed by injection molding, the particles of the popcorn material will not be adhered, and the defect of adhesion between the particles can be ameliorated.

摘要: A composition for preparing a foam, a foam, and a shoe employing the foam are provided. The composition for preparing a foam includes 3-30 parts by weight of a first polymer and at least one of a second polymer and a third polymer. The first polymer is cyclic olefin polymer (COP), cyclic olefin copolymer (COC), metallocene based cyclic olefin copolymer (mCOC), fully hydrogenated conjugated diene-vinyl aromatic copolymer, or a combination thereof. The total weight of the second polymer and the third polymer is 70-97 parts by weight. The second polymer is polyolefin, olefin copolymer, or a combination thereof. The third polymer is conjugated diene-vinyl aromatic copolymer, partially hydrogenated conjugated diene-vinyl aromatic copolymer, or a combination thereof. The total weight of the first polymer and at least one of the second polymer and the third polymer is 100 parts by weight.
