摘要： A cosmetic product is provided for delivery of skin actives through adhesive strips which concurrently remove keratotic plugs from skin pores. The product is a strip including a flexible substrate sheet onto which a composition containing an adhesive polymer is deposited. The composition is essentially a polymer of anionic, cationic, nonionic, amphoteric or zwitterionic variety which increases in tackiness upon being wetted, with wetting occurring just prior to application onto the skin thereby enhancing the composition's adhesivity. Skin agents delivered through the adhesive strip include vitamins, herbal extracts, alpha- and beta-hydroxycarboxylic acids, ceramides, anti-inflammatories, antimicrobials, vasoconstrictors, zinc salts and mixtures thereof. The strips are sealably enclosed within a pouch for purposes of moisture protection.

摘要： A cosmetic product is provided for removing keratotic skin plugs. The product includes a flexible non-occlusive substrate sheet onto which a composition containing an anionic or nonionic polymer is deposited. The composition is treated to become dry non-tacky to the touch yet upon being wetted for use the composition again turns tacky and mobile. The method of application involves either directly moistening the product or indirectly moistening by first wetting a consumer's face in an area where the product is applied. Thereafter, water is allowed to evaporate leaving a film to which the keratotic plugs are bonded. The film is then peeled away concommittingly removing the plugs.

摘要： A cosmetic composition is provided which includes a C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acid and a C.sub.16 -C.sub.20 alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acid delivered in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Most preferred as the longer chain acids is a mixture fractionated from lanolin. The cosmetic composition can be employed in a method for treating dermatological disorders, chronoaging and environmental abuse. Preferably the composition is intended to inhibit or reduce the formation of wrinkles and sagging of skin while improving glow and firmness.

摘要： Clear emulsion cosmetic compositions are provided that include an aqueous phase having 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol and an oily phase containing silicones, especially cyclomethicone and a cyclomethicone-dimethicone copolyol silicone fluid mixture. These compositions exhibit visual clarity and can be formulated into a cold cream or antiperspirant/deodorant which are highly phase stable and insensitive to shear decomposition while being processed.

摘要： A wiping article is provided which includes an effervescent cleanser composition held within a sachet, at least one wall of the sachet including at least one pleat. The presence of pleats allows expansion room within the sachet to accommodate effervescent action. It also results in an ergonomically pleasant pillow configuration. Advantageously, the sachet is formed of two sheets with the second sheet being relatively more rigid than the first sheet and non-pleated which permits easier graspability by a user's hand. Additionally, at least one of the sheets should be water permeable. In a preferred embodiment, the effervescent composition is an intimate mixture of an acid material such as citric acid and an alkaline material such as sodium bicarbonate. Water contact causes the combination to effervesce. Skin benefit agents may be included within the composition.

摘要： A disposable towelette product is provided which includes a flexible water-insoluble substrate such as a tissue impregnated with an alpha- or beta-hydroxycarboxylic acid in a cosmetically acceptable carrier vehicle. Impregnated cosmetic composition in water will have a pH no higher than 6.8. A silicone microemulsion is present to minimize any stickiness resulting from deposition of the hydroxycarboxylic acid by the towelette onto the skin. In the presence of fatty acid group containing surfactants, the silicone microemulsion controls foul odors that the surfactants may emit through hydrolysis at low pH.
