    摘要: The present invention provides a seat adjuster slide mechanism and method of utilization of the same which is infinitely horizontally adjustable. The seat adjuster slide uses a vertically actuated cam. In its preferred embodiment two opposite surfaces of the cam are utilized and the cam "floats" to equalize the cam angle. Therefore relative movement between the sliding members of the seat adjuster increase the locking force. The present invention also provides a seat adjuster master/slave slide assembly which utilizes one conventional non-infinitely variable type slider mechanism for the master slider in combination with the vertically actuated cam type slave slider adjuster. Use of the vertically actuated cam slider for the slave slider eliminates the prior alignment problem experienced when using a slave adjuster which is non-infinitely variable.

A load guide (90) is coupled to the housing (40) and to the track member (26) and guides direction of travel of the track member (26) under loading conditions.

    摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus and method of utilization thereof of an anti-ratchet vehicle seat adjuster slide. A preferred embodiment provides an adjuster slide having an upper channel connected with the seat slidably mounted on a lower channel connected with the vehicle. The adjuster slide also has a latch pivotally connected with the upper channel having a range of pivotal movement independent of a lift bar which is also pivotally connected with the upper channel. To allow adjustment of the seat the lift bar is controlled by the operator and pulled upwards causing the latch to pivot upwards also and release from the lower channel. The latch also is provided with a tab having a curvilinear surface of engagement with the notches of the lower channel. The curvilinear surface of the latch tab allows the latch to have a generally constant cam angle of engagement with the notch of the lower channel regardless of the angular orientation of the latch when the tab is in engagement with one of the notches. The above action causes the tab is seek insertion into the latch and not to be pushed out of the latch due to the poor cam angle presentation.

    摘要: An automotive easy-entry assembly 10 is provided, including a seat pan 12 and a back frame 14 rotatably attached to the seat pan 12. The back frame is rotatable between a back frame upright position 16 and a back frame dumped forward position. A secured track 28 includes a plurality of engagement slots 44 and a memory block 92. An adjustment track 36 is mounted to the seat pan 12 and slidably engages the secured track 28. A locking arm 46 including one or more engagement teeth 44 is mounted to the adjustment track 36 and is movable between an engagement position 50 and a travel position 52. An actuator arm 62 is in communication with the back frame 14 such that as the back frame 14 is moved into the back frame dumped forward position 18 the actuator arm 62 is moved into an actuator active position 68. A lifting cam 72 is in communication with the actuator arm 62 and locking arm 26 such that as said actuator arm 62 is moved into the actuator active position 68, the lifting cam 72 moves the locking arm 46 into the travel position 52. A locking cam 80 is in communication with the lifting cam 72. A searing cam 84 is in communication with the lifting cam 72 such that the sear element 86 engages the locking cam 80 when the locking arm 46 is in the travel position 52. A trigger element 90 disengages the sear element 86 and allows the locking arm 46 to move into the engagement position 50 after impacting the memory block 92. A lost motion element 94 provides communication between the sear cam 84 and the lifting cam 72 such that the trigger element 90 can move over the memory block 92 without damage.

    摘要: A vehicle seat track assembly wherein guide elements are mounted on one of a pair of cooperating track structures. The guide elements have generally vertically facing guide surfaces which have been broached to be positioned a predetermined distance vertically from generally opposed spaced surfaces on the one track structure. The vertically facing guide surfaces slidably engage generally oppositely facing surfaces of another of the track structures so as to effectively prevent relative vertical movement in a direction tending to vertically separate the track structures. When used in a manually actuated mode, the track assembly includes a locking assembly comprising a pair of abutting metal plates stamped to provide abutting elongated mounting portions having a plurality of spaced abutting locking portions extending transversely therefrom, a mounting structure within which the mounting portions of the abutting plates extend and a spring constructed and arranged to resiliently bias the mounting structure and abutting plates into a locking position wherein the locking portions are within selected notches and to enable the mounting structure and abutting plates to be manually moved against the resilient bias into a releasing position wherein the locking portions are out of the notches.

    摘要: A vehicle seat adjuster has a first track member attached to a vehicle frame and a second track member attached to a vehicle seat and is movable relative to the first track. The adjuster includes a drive mechanism, having a threaded shaft connected with the second track member, a drive block attached to the first track member, and means for moving the threaded shaft within the drive block, for moving the track members. The drive block is made of a base, an isolator made of a urethane material, and a nut. The isolator fits within an opening on the base, and the nut fits within an opening within the isolator. Each of the components has a bore formed therethrough such that the threaded shaft can pass through the drive block. The isolator and the nut are pivotable within the base component in order to maintain alignment between the shaft and the drive block.
