摘要: A method and apparatus for injection molding an article including a radially extending child resistant feature. Finish block halves are provided that include a pocket and that are closable together to form a neck-finish mold cavity. Mold body halves are provided that include a core portion and that are closable together to form a body mold cavity. The core portion is advanceable toward the pocket to cooperate therewith to define a cavity for forming the child resistant feature. The core portion may be integrally formed into one or more of the mold body halves, or may be separately mounted and relatively movable with respect thereto.

摘要: Apparatus for assessing the condition of fruit or vegetables comprises a transducer (22) which is brought into contact with the surface of fruit or vegetable (12) in a tapping motion. The transducer (22), where it contacts the fruit or vegetable's surface is generally curved in shape to ensure accuracy of measurement over a relatively wide range of angles of impact with the fruit or vegetable (12). The transducer (22) can be delivered to and away from the fruit or vegetable surface by an air controlled bellows arrangement.

摘要: Magnetic brush development apparatus for applying developer material to a latent electrostatic image in which flow of developer material, distributed in balance across the length of the apparatus, is assured. The apparatus includes a housing having a portion defining a sump adapted to contain a supply of developer material. A magnetic brush is located substantially within the housing in spaced relation to the sump portion for applying developer material to the latent image. A feed mechanism, located within the housing between the sump portion and the magnetic brush transports developer material from the sump to the magnetic brush. An agitating and transporting mechanism, located in said sump portion, agitates developer material and transports developer material to the feed mechanism. In the preferred embodiment the agitating and transporting mechanism is a ribbon blender. In order to assure the desired balanced developer material distribution in the apparatus housing under all conditions, a magnet is attached to the external wall of the housing adjacent to the sump portion.

摘要: Alcohol solutions for use as fountain solutions in the printing industry are disclosed. The solutions include isopropyl alcohol in amounts of 40% to 95%, ethyl alcohol or other alcohols in amounts of 5% to 60% and ethylene diamine in an amount of 0.015% to 0.040%. The addition of a small amount of ethylene diamine markedly reduces the emission of fumes from the fountain solutions.

摘要: A potted transformer winding and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The method of manufacture includes the steps of inserting a temporary core pin in a hollow bobbin, winding a first coil of wire on the bobbin, placing a bobbin sleeve over the bobbin, and winding a second coil of wire on the sleeve to form a transformer winding assembly. Other sleeves and coils can be provided if desired. The transformer winding assembly is located in the interior of a casing, the casing and winding are heated, the casing interior and winding are subjected to a vacuum, and a potting compound is introduced into the casing interior in continuation of the vacuum and heat. The potting compound then flows between the core pin and the bobbin to form an electrically insulative coating inside the bobbin hollow. After the casing, winding and potting compound have cooled, at least one hole is formed in the casing adjacent an end of the pin and the pin is removed from the bobbin casing. A leg of a transformer core member may then be inserted into the cylindrical space defined by the thus exposed potting compound layer.

摘要: The disclosed device is a barrel and chamber blocking shaft or rod that acts as an extension of a pistol. The extension provides the additional function of forming a cane, the pistol becoming the handle of the cane, which the user can use as a walking aid. When used in accordance with design claimed herein, the cane allows for ease of use in that no hip holster is required and the rod or shaft can be removed with the use of only one hand.
