The binary vane pump includes a pressure plate having a first discharge port, a thrust plate having a second discharge port, a ring positioned axially between the pressure plate and thrust plate, the ring having an inner cam surface, and a rotor rotatably disposed within the ring, the rotor having a plurality of slots and a plurality of vanes, vanes of the plurality vanes corresponding to respective slots of the plurality of slots and radially movable with the respective slots. A first and second pump chamber are disposed within the ring, separated by the rotor, vanes, pressure plate and thrust plate, the first pump chamber configured to discharge fluid to the first discharge port and the second pump chamber configured to discharge fluid to the second discharge port. A shaft extends through the pressure plate, thrust plate, ring and rotor and drives the rotor.

    摘要: A vehicular hydraulic system with a pump and first and second hydraulic applications arranged in series. The fluid upstream of the first application may be elevated to a first threshold pressure value. A pressure-dump valve is disposed downstream of the first application and fluid entering the valve flows through an inlet port, primary flow channel and outlet port of the valve to the second hydraulic application. The valve includes a valve member that axially slides within an elongate valve chamber, partitioning the primary flow channel from a low pressure volume. The valve also includes a low pressure port and a bypass port that diverts fluid past the second application. The valve member is biased into a position wherein fluid is diverted through the bypass port when the pressure in the primary flow channel exceeds a second threshold value. The first threshold value is greater than the second threshold value.

    摘要: A hydraulic fluid reservoir assembly is disclosed. The reservoir assembly includes a reservoir housing defining a fluid chamber and a baffle member. The baffle member is disposed within the fluid chamber above the inlet and defines a central opening disposed radially inwardly of the reservoir housing. The central opening provides fluid communication between an inlet zone below the baffle and an upper zone above the baffle. The hydraulic fluid introduced through the inlet is directed to flow circumferentially along a radially outer section of the inlet zone whereby air entrained in the hydraulic fluid collects in a central portion of the inlet zone and is communicated to the upper zone thereby deaerating the fluid. A means for forming a substantially fluid tight seal between the reservoir housing and the baffle member is provided along an outer radial edge of the baffle member. A method of manufacture is also disclosed.

    摘要: A modular computer chassis comprises a main chassis to which a motherboard is attached and a subchassis attachable to the main chassis. The subchassis is capable of having at least one computer component attached thereto such that the computer component is electrically connected to the motherboard. The computer component is thus separable from the main chassis by removing the subchassis from the main chassis. The subchassis contains those computer components subject to mechanical wear and most often requiring replacement, i.e. the power supply and disk drives. The subchassis is mechanically connected to the main chassis by using slots and tabs such that when the cover is in place upon the computer, then the subchassis is secured therein. The subchassis and the computer components disposed thereon thus form a module which is conveniently removable and replaceable such that those computer components most frequently requiring service can be quickly removed and replaced by a person unskilled in computer repair.

A valve is disposed whereby fluid from the pump flows through an inlet port, primary flow channel and outlet port of the valve to the first hydraulic application. The valve includes a body and a valve member that axially slides within an elongate valve chamber, partitioning the primary flow channel from a low pressure volume. The bypass port is sealed from fluid communication with the valve chamber in a first position and is in fluid communication with the primary flow channel when the valve member is biased into a second position by a threshold exceeding elevated fluid pressure in the primary flow channel.     摘要: A vehicular hydraulic system having a pump, flow-splitting valve, first application and second application arranged in series. The flow-splitting valve diverts a portion of the primary fluid flow to the second application when the pressure exceeds a threshold value. A valve member disposed in the flow-splitting valve defines a pressure-reducing orifice that communicates fluid across the valve member. A one-way relief valve prevents fluid flow through the pressure-reducing orifice when the pressure in the valve is below the threshold value. When the pressure exceeds the threshold value, fluid flows through relief valve and the pressure reducing orifice resulting in the movement of the valve member and exposure of a bypass port to thereby divert a portion of the primary fluid flow to the second application. The relief valve may be selectively variable to thereby provide for the adjustment of the threshold value.
