摘要： A method for controlling temperature in a thermal zone within a building, comprising: using a processor, receiving a desired temperature range for the thermal zone; determining a forecast ambient temperature value for an external surface of the building proximate the thermal zone; using a predictive model for the building, determining set points for a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (“HVAC”) system associated with the thermal zone that minimize energy use by the building; the desired temperature range and the forecast ambient temperature value being inputs to the predictive model; the predictive model being trained using respective historical measured value data for at least one of the inputs; and, controlling the HVAC system with the set points to maintain an actual temperature value of the thermal zone within the desired temperature range for the thermal zone.

摘要： Adjustable height control stick assembly for dual control of aircraft includes a single control stick for longitudinal and lateral orientation of the aircraft with the height adjustment allowing for correction of position prior to flight. The stick is connected to appropriate linkages to move the ailerons and elevator of an airplane or the rotor blades of a helicopter. When either the pilot or the copilot is flying the grip for the other is at a different height to that for normal operation. The invention replaces and makes adjustable the grip so that height of the grip of both pilot and copilot are the same as if they were flying and in control of the aircraft.

A deployment interface and a system interface are described for these portlet proxies. The deployment interface is used for composing new web services, and a composition tool is described. The system interface allows for run-time management of the web services by the portal platform. The service provider for a particular function may be bound to the portlet proxy at development time or at run-time.

摘要： An aircraft includes a body 10, at least one nozzle 16 mounted for movement between an aft-directed position and a downwardly directed position, the arrangement being such that when the or each nozzle 16 is directed downwardly, the thrust generated thereby is directed along a line which lies substantially on the same lateral plane as an allowable first extremity of the center of gravity of the aircraft (e.g. aftmost). A trim jet 22 is positioned to exhaust beyond a second extremity of the center of gravity (e.g. foremost) and arranged to generate a trim thrust component to compensate for movement of the center of gravity of the aircraft between the first and second allowable extremities. Two nozzles 16 may be provided one to each side of the body 10 thus allowing a yaw component to be generated by differential movement of the nozzles.
