Aspects of the invention include fluid removal (e.g., aspiration) devices having a fluid removal element and a flow modulator positioned at a distal end of the fluid removal element. The flow modulator is configured to converge intersecting fluid flow paths into the fluid removal element. Also provided are systems and kits for performing the subject methods. The subject invention finds use in a variety of different applications, including the selective removal of both therapeutic and diagnostic agents from a variety of different physiological sites.

    摘要: An aspiration catheter comprises a catheter body having an aspiration lumen therethrough. The distal opening of the aspiration lumen can be modified in various ways or can have the addition of structure in order to disrupt sealing between the port and material being aspirated. Examples of modifications include slots, castellations, zig-zag features, and other geometries which resist sealing of aspirated material. Blades, rollers, vibrating elements, and other structures may be provided within or around the distal end of the aspiration lumen in order to dislodge and disrupt aspirated material which can seal against the opening.

The architecture determines dependencies, performs formulae translation, and processes data retrieval queries using the translated formulae. In one implementation, the architecture translates performance management server calculations into spreadsheet application formulas so that the impact of changes can be reflected immediately. Moreover, this technique does not require updating and querying of the performance management server. An algorithm is provided that allows translation of the backend formula (e.g., MDX—multidimensional expressions) directly into the spreadsheet application such that the impact on calculated values by an input change can be reflected instantaneously in the sheet.

A calculation rule, presented in an expression language and specifying one or more functions, is received. The calculation rule is executed by performing the one or more functions specified in the calculation rule, and the results from executing the calculation rule are reported.
