摘要: A method for performing a medical procedure in an intestine of a patient is provided. The method comprises providing a system comprising: a catheter for insertion into the intestine, the catheter comprising: an elongate shaft comprising a distal portion; and a functional assembly positioned on the shaft distal portion and comprising at least one treatment element. The catheter is introduced into the patient, and target tissue is treated with the at least one treatment element. The target tissue comprises mucosal tissue of the small intestine, and the medical procedure can be configured to treat polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

摘要: A tissue-removing catheter for removing tissue in a body lumen includes an elongate body and a tissue-removing element mounted on a distal end portion of the elongate body. The tissue-removing element is configured to remove the tissue as the tissue-removing element is rotated by the elongate body within the body lumen. An inner liner is received within the elongate body. The inner liner defines a guidewire lumen. The inner liner isolates an interior of the guidewire lumen from the elongate body and tissue-removing element such that rotational forces are not transferred from the elongate body and tissue-removing element to the interior of the guidewire lumen when the elongate body and tissue-removing element are rotated during removal of tissue from the body lumen.

摘要: Systems and methods for the intravascular treatment of clot material within a blood vessel of a human patient are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, engaging an interventional device of a catheter system with clot material in a blood vessel and withdrawing the interventional device and the portion of the clot material through a guide catheter. In some embodiments, the catheter system can include an attachment/valve member coupled to a proximal portion of the guide catheter, and the method can include unsealing the attachment/valve member to facilitate withdrawing the interventional device through the attachment/valve member without significant retention of clot material within the attachment/valve member. The method can further include resealing and aspirating the guide catheter before advancing another interventional device to the clot material to again engage and remove clot material from the blood vessel.

摘要: Endovascular valve formation systems with imaging capabilities and associated devices and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a valve formation and imaging system can include, for example, (i) a valve formation device configured to access a vessel wall and dissect a portion of the vessel wall to form an autologous valve leaflet and (ii) an imaging device configured to image the vessel wall and components of the valve formation device during a valve formation procedure. In some embodiments, the imaging device is integrated into a distal end portion of the valve formation device. In some embodiments, the imaging device is a separate catheter device positionally coupled to the valve formation device and/or components thereof.

摘要: The invention relates to a catheter device, having a catheter, an actuation device at a first end of the catheter and also a mechanical transmission element for transmitting a movement along the catheter to the actuation device, the actuation device having a coupling element which is connected to the transmission element and can be actuated by the latter relative to the longitudinal direction of the catheter in a first degree of freedom, and also a conversion element which can be actuated by the coupling element and which converts the actuation movement at least partially into a movement in a second degree of freedom. As a result, a combined movement at the distal end of the catheter can be produced particularly simply for compression and release of a functional element.
