Abstract: Automatic transfer switch and power supply units (ATSPSUs) and related methods condition switching to a second AC power source to allow a battery module to supply DC power to a load. An ATSPSU includes a power supply unit (PSU), an automatic transfer switch (ATS), and an ATSPSU controller configured to control the ATS to switch to the second AC power source in response to the voltage of the first AC power source having decreased in magnitude by a voltage drop value over a period of time greater than an allowable amount of time for the voltage drop value, and at least one of a voltage differential between DC power supply lines being less than a voltage threshold value, and a state of charge of a battery module operatively coupled with the DC power supply lines being less than a threshold state of charge.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for an external housing assembly of a sensing device externally mounted on a skewed panel of a vehicle. The external housing assembly can provide ingress protection from fluids and foreign objects. In one example, the external housing assembly includes an external housing, a cylindrical conduit, a spacer, a retention nut, and a retention ring. The external housing being configured to surround an aperture of a vehicle. The cylindrical conduit attaches to the external housing, and the sensing device having a lens that is positioned within the cylindrical conduit. The spacer is positioned adjacent to the skewed panel. The retention nut is positioned adjacent to the spacer and is attached to the cylindrical conduit. A portion of the sensing device is positioned between the retention nut and the retention ring. The retention ring is attached to the retention nut.

Abstract: A housing apparatus configured to be attached to an external housing of a vehicle mounted optical device is described. The housing apparatus is configured to direct an airflow at a lens of the optical device in order to prevent or remove obstructions, such as rain, dirt, pollen, insects, and other items. In one embodiment, among others, an apparatus comprises a tunnel structure that has a first end, a second end, a first side, a second side, and a top side. The first end of the tunnel structure has an entry opening for capturing air flow while the vehicle is in motion. The second end of the tunnel structure has an exit opening for directing the air flow to a lens of the optical device.

Abstract: An electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) holster including a locking mechanism and an image capture device is described herein. The image capture device is configured to capture image data relating to a connector face of the charging connector when the charging connector is inserted into the holster. The image data is then analyzed to determine if a physical abnormality is present on the charging connector (for example, damage to the charging connector or debris lodged in the charging connector. If a physical abnormality is detected, the locking mechanism is actuated to lock the charging connector to the holster until maintenance is performed on the charging connector.

Abstract: A facility monitoring system and/or a secure data storage device transport trolley accounts for data storage devices removed from rack computing devices while in transport. The secure data storage device transport trolley comprises a backplane, backplane connectors, and a computing device coupled to the backplane. The computing device scans for data storage devices connected to the connectors of the backplane at regular intervals and maintains an updated list of data storage devices being transported by the secure data storage device transport trolley. The secure data storage device transport trolley also provides the list to a facility monitoring system for reconciliation.

Abstract: Power systems and methods for supplying direct current power to a server rack employ multiple power supply units. A method for supplying direct current power to a server rack includes receiving an alternating current (AC) power input. A first portion of the AC power input is transferred to a first automatic transfer switch (ATS). A first DC power input is generated from the first portion of the AC power input via a first power supply unit (PSU) and transferred to the server rack. A second portion of the AC power input is transferred to a second ATS. A second DC power input is generated from the second portion of the AC power input via a second PSU and transferred to the server rack.

Abstract: A tamper detection system utilizes a barrier that includes a bar sized to extend across a rack in an arrangement in which the bar blocks access to an appliance received in the rack. The tamper detection system further utilizes a detector configured to log, transmit, or otherwise generate an indication that the barrier has been tampered with, such as in response to the bar being pulled away from the rack enough to decouple a magnet that when magnetically coupled to the rack maintains a switch in a first state against a biasing force of a biasing mechanism urging the switch toward a second state, or such as in response to the bar becoming severed or pulled away from the rack enough to cause a detectable change of resistance or other electrical characteristic in a corresponding circuit.
