    摘要: A delivery system and method for targeting a contrast agent to tissues and organs for improved diagnosis of tumors and for prognosis and follow-up of cancer therapy by X-ray imaging. The delivery system includes a conjugate or complex of a macromolecular carrier and a contrast agent selected from the group consisting of: (a) a compound having a heavy element with an atomic number in the range of 75 to 92, and (b) a compound having an element with a property of an abrupt change in its X-ray attenuation coefficient within the energy range used for radiography, said macromolecular carrier of said conjugate or complex being optionally linked to a specific tissue marker molecule.

    摘要: A method of obtaining a separate data contribution from first and second spectral components during a single magnetic resonance scan. The method uses a scan sequence causing the data from the first and second spectral components to be 90 degrees out of phase. This shift of the data along with a measurement of the inhomegeneities of the field initiates two output signals which are used to provide all of the data required for imaging the two spectral components and/or correcting images for chemical shifts.

    摘要: A slice selection arrangement for MRI systems uses a psuedo-spin echo procedure by applying a 90 degree RF pulse in the presence of gradient pulse, applied in the direction of the encoding pulses; applying the 180 degree RF pulse in the presence of a gradient in another orthogonal direction and reading out the echo in the presence of the third orthogonal gradient pulse. Aliasing artifacts are avoided even though the section imaged is smaller than the object size, allowing zooming and/or a reduced number of encoding cycles for single slice imaging.
