摘要: Method and device for regulating the phase angle between a first and a second crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. The engine includes primary cylinders that communicate with secondary cylinders and in every primary cylinder there is movably arranged a primary piston that is connected to the first crankshaft and in every secondary cylinder there is movably arranged a secondary piston that is connected to the second crankshaft. The first and second crankshafts are connected to each other by means of a transmission adapted with the device that includes a crankshaft extension for obtaining the control of the phase angle, the extension being fixed against rotation and displaceably connected to one of the crankshafts and via a grooved portion rotationally connected to the second of the crankshafts. When the crankshaft extension in displaced, rotation is obtained in the grooved portion that results in a corresponding phase angle shift.

摘要: Synchronous and asynchronous data traffic over multipoint ad-hoc telecommunication networks is scheduled in frames, and bandwidth in such networks is allocated based on packet type and traffic type by a scheduler that points to frame descriptors, or data structures, that define where data is located, what packet type to use for the transmission, etc. The scheduling of reception is implicit, viz., there is always a transmit/receive descriptor pair. The same scheduler can schedule traffic in interconnected networks in which there is a participant, even if the networks are unsynchronized to one another, and the scheduler can schedule connection-setup actions, such as page and inquiry. The scheduler can also schedule non-actions, or inactivity, such as “no operation” and “sleep”.

摘要: A device for use in trapping and assaying 14CO2 in air exhaled by a person to which a 14CO labelled compound has been administered, in particular 14CO labelled urea, comprises first and second substantially flat oblong duct forming elements joined to each other at their edges except for one of their short edges and forming a duct between them. The first duct forming element includes a gas permeable matrix element for absorption of CO2. The device is provided with indicator means for visual detection of CO2 absorption and a film element of low &bgr;-radiation absorptivity interposed or interposable between the matrix element and a &bgr;-radiation measuring instrument. Also disclosed is a corresponding method.

摘要: In conventional backprojection, each pixel value is calculated separately. With N pixels N.sup.3 additions are necessary. According to the invention, the summation is instead divided into partial sums which are then used to form new partial sums in a hierarchial way. A substantial computational reduction is obtained because a partial sum has approximately the same value for many neighboring points, and that interpolations are feasible. Instead of N.sup.3 additions, the number of additions can be reduced to the order of magnitude of N.sup.2 log N.
