摘要: A post cap and accessory assembly for pilings. Continued development resulted in refinements for accessory mounting and security, and improved adaptability of the caps to varying piling diameters and non-piling applications. Single accessory mounts afford greater ability to satisfy individual accessory needs and combination brackets broadly increase the mountability of accessories. An extension bracket provides side and top mounting positions beyond the original positions. A special electrical design permits electrical accessories mounted to a grooved base and wired to its electrical contacts to repetitively engage and disengage mating contacts for power hookup provided within a winged pedestal base so that the electrical accessories attached to the grooved base may be quickly attached or removed as desired while leaving the winged pedestal permanently installed. Easily operated wire locks are provided on all accessory mounts and are instantly released by fingertip force. Screws at all accessory mounting positions can be deployed to prevent the instant removal of an accessory, thereby adding an increased security measure. Special sizing sleeves, installable in all caps, reduce the manufacturing costs of the caps and enhance the fitting of the caps to piling diameters. Other means allow the caps to be adaptable to non-circular shapes.

摘要: An interface circuit and method for multiple discharge gaseous display and/or memory panels utilizing the slope characteristics of individual discharge units in a multiple discharge panel to control the status of individual units without effecting the status of other individual discharge units. A low level voltage signal from an addressing logic system is translated into a high voltage unidirectional pulse which is added to a periodic alternating voltage at selected times to modify the slope of discharge potential of a charge storage discharge unit to control on and off states of selected discharge units.

摘要: A control system for a glassware forming machine determines the machine speed in accordance with the physical characteristics of the molten glass and the type of glassware being formed. The control system is loaded with timing data representing predetermined forming steps and a machine cycle speed and a control program for generating control signals to the machine forming mechanisms for forming the selected type of glassware. As the machine is operated, one or more physical characteristics of the molten glass entering the machine are sensed and utilized by the control system to adjust the machine speed to an optimum value. The control system also can utilize signals representing the operation of the forming mechanisms to adjust the timing within the machine cycle.

摘要: A squeezable, resilient pouch is used for collecting a blood sample. The walls of the pouch are moved together in response to the application of an external squeezing force. The squeezing force collapses the pouch and expels fluid from it. Upon removal of the squeezing force, the resilience of the pouch walls moves them apart. The resilient expansion of the pouch creates suction that draws a fluid sample into the pouch. The pouch can be attached to a blood collection and/or storage container by flexible tubing in a way that prevents communication with the atmosphere. By squeezing the pouch, the user obtain a sample of the blood without using special tools and with no danger of activating or damaging the blood component being sampled.

摘要: A protective cover for waterfowl callers such as duck and goose callers. A cover is of rubber or the like and is in the form of a tube which is fitted in expanded condition over an interfitting mouthpiece and barrel of the caller in close frictional engagement to prevent the mouthpiece and barrel from being accidentally separated. The ends of the cover may be rolled back over an interfitting junction of the mouthpiece and barrel to accommodate the caller reed adjustment as desired. The mouthpiece end of the cover has a protective cap which can be pulled over an open end of the mouthpiece to protect it when not in use or folded back over the mouthpiece when in use. The barrel end of the cover may extend beyond the barrel end of the cover and closed to protect this end when not in use or rolled back over the barrel in use.

摘要: A cooling system includes means for maintaining electronic control components of a glassware forming machine at a safe operational temperature. A circuit board heat sink is attached to and substantially covers the component mounting surface of a printed circuit board. The circuit board heat sink includes a thermoconductive pad for each component and a metallic panel. Thermoconductive means engage a portion of the circuit board heat sink to transmit heat energy from the components through the heat sink to a coolant manifold. The thermoconductive means includes at least one card guide for frictionally engaging the circuit board and the circuit board heat sink, and a card rack for supporting the card guide. A coolant manifold has a plurality of passages formed therein for the passage of coolant throughout. The manifold is attached to a housing which encloses and is attached to the card rack and receives the heat energy from the components. The coolant fluid removes the heat energy accumulated by the manifold from the cooling system.

摘要: A driving and addressing circuit for applying sustaining, writing and erasing voltages to the cells of a multicelled gas discharge display/memory panel. The voltage generating circuitry is isolated from each panel electrode by a pair of oppositely poled diodes individual to that electrode. The diodes provide low impedance paths for the sustainer current and isolate the electrodes from each other. The writing and erasing voltages are coupled to the electrodes through a plurality of complementary MOSFETs, one per electrode, which eliminate all but one of the diode switch circuits per electrode array of the prior art circuitry. The P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs can be formed on separate integrated circuit chips with one of the pair of the diodes while the other diodes are formed on common anode and common cathode integrated circuit chips. In addition, a portion of the addressing circuitry can be formed on the MOSFET chips. Such a circuit configuration substantially reduces the power requirements and circuit complexity.

摘要: A gas discharge display/memory device in which the driving circuitry is coupled to the panel electrodes through a plurality of gas discharge cells. Along one edge of each of the panel electrode arrays, there are formed a plurality of gas discharge shift cells each defined by a pair of crosspoints, one crosspoint formed by one of a plurality of shift electrodes and a common electrode means and the other crosspoint formed by the common electrode means and one of the panel electrodes. The shift electrodes associated with each electrode array are connected to individual shift voltage generators which generate phased shift voltages to shift a discharge along the common electrode. The discharge associated with each electrode array can be transferred to a selected panel electrode by applying a transfer pulse voltage to the electrodes forming the second crosspoint such that a discharge is initiated in the panel cell defined by the crosspoint of the selected panel electrodes. A sustainer generator is connected to both electrode arrays through a plurality of gas discharge sustainer cells defined by the crosspoints formed by a sustainer electrode and all of the panel electrodes of one of the electrode arrays for each electrode array. The sustainer generator applies a voltage to all of the panel cells to maintain a sequence of discharges in any panel cell in which a discharge has been initiated.
