Abstract:
Proposed is a technique for preparing a roaming operation of a User Equipment (UE) between a home network and at least one visited network. A method aspect being performed in a roaming control entity comprises receiving at least one message related to the roaming operation, determining if a roaming attempt from the home network to the at least one visited network is performed, and, if the determining step is affirmative, requesting, from the home network, information relating to the UE so as to evaluate if the UE has access to the home network. The method aspect being performed in the UE comprises transmitting the at least one message about the roaming attempt, and receiving, responsive to the transmitting, deny or grant of access of the UE to the at least one visited network depending on whether the UE has access to the home network or not.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Method, apparatuses and computer programs for handling data related to users of a communications system comprising: a database server storing data related to users of the system, and a plurality of service servers. The database server modifies (1103) a first data stored therein for a user according to a received request (1101), and sends a second message (1109) notifying the data modification to a first service server comprising: an identifier of the user, the first data after the modification, and an identifier of a second service server of the system that handle data related to the user. The first service server sends a third message (2105) to the second service server requesting to modify a data held therein in relationship with said user. Features of the invention help in reducing signaling in layered systems, since additional data are communicated in the second message.
Abstract:
The application relates to SMS over LTE radio access. Several alternatives are already known, such as specified in 3GPP TS 24.247 which supports text messaging capabilities and 3GPP 23.204 which supports all existing SMS capabilities through SMS encapsulation in IP. Furthermore, 3GPP 23.272 which relates to SMS in CS fallback. A further technique is known as Generic Access Network which is under study in 3GPP 23.879 relating to CS domain services over evolved PS access and in Voice Over LTE VOLGA. The present application provides a solution for handling messages between legacy networks in the form of circuit-switched networks and IP network architecture in the form of an IP Multimedia Subsystem IMS while minimizing the efforts needed for system integration by maximal reuse of existing functionalities. This is achieved by an entity (100) which adapts messages received from the IMS (50) in such a way that the appear to a controller entity (200) providing conventional short message functionalities as if they have been received from a mobile terminal accessing a radio access network through a radio network interface of a circuit-switched network (40).
Abstract:
A routing system transfers data packets of real time communication services of a call, and includes a converter receiving media gateway control protocol encoded first control data and processing the first control data to obtain second control data. The system, based on the first control data, allocates a first transport address for a first routing port for incoming data packets, and allocates a second transport address for a second routing port for outgoing data packets. A central control entity controls a central control entity controlled network of forwarding elements, and determines a static pathway through the network of forwarding elements based on the second control data. A first end of the static pathway corresponds to the first routing port and a second end corresponds to the second routing port. The central control entity controls a data plane flow of a stream of the data packets along the static pathway.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a method of establishing a circuit switched, CS, call to a mobile subscriber of a CS network, wherein the mobile subscriber includes an instant communication client which is adapted to communicate via an instant messaging protocol with an instant communication server. The instant communication server is associated to a hosting switching node of the CS network. A switching node of the CS network receives a CS setup message for terminating a CS call. A switching node of the CS network detects that the mobile subscriber is not reachable over the CS network. The CS setup message is routed to the hosting switching node. A message converter associated to the hosting switching node converts the CS setup message into a converted setup message according to the instant messaging protocol. The instant communication server forwards the converted setup message to the instant communication client.
Abstract:
The present invention proposes a solution for providing IMS services to users having circuit-switched controlled terminals. In particular, it is proposed, in order to allow IMS to take the full call and service control, to combine circuit-switched and packet-based multimedia functionality in a new node type called Mobile Access Gateway Control Function (MAGCF). In particular the present invention provides a method for ensuring that the MAGCF node acts as a roaming anchor point in order to enforce the handling of originating and terminating calls in the IMS.
Abstract:
A communication path allocating entity and method are described. The entity (10) comprises a receiver (11) for receiving session requests for requesting one or both of an establishment of a new communication session and a change in existing communication session between a network and one or more terminals (20), and a processor (12) for processing the session requests and for allocating one or more communication paths (21, 23, 25) to each of the communication sessions. A session database (28) is provided for keeping record of the allocated communication path and their associated sessions.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a CNAP service in which a name of the calling party is presented to the called party. For retrieving the name, a presence network agent in the mobile switching center accesses the presence server and fetches the name from the presence server before it is introduced into a call setup request message.
