    摘要: A system for displaying accumulated ultrasound images of tissue structures. A set of N image frames is used to produce a peak image display. Multiple peak image displays are produced by discarding the oldest image frame in the set of N image frames and replacing the discarded image frame with another more recent image frame. The more recent image frame is added to the set of image frames to produce a new set of N image frames. The new set of N image frames is used to produce another peak display image. If there is an undesirable amount of distortion or blur in the peak display images due to tissue motion, then the number of image frames in the set of N image frames can be reduced.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for ultrasonically imaging flow directly in B mode employs a sequence of pulses transmitted to a transmit focal position, with the backscattered signals from this sequence being filtered to remove echoes from stationary or slow-moving reflectors along the transmit path. The resulting flow signals are superimposed on a conventional B-mode vector and displayed. A B-mode flow image is formed by repeating this procedure for multiple transmit focal positions across the region of interest. The filtering is performed in slow time (along transmit firings) using a high-pass "wall" filter (e.g., an FIR filter) with harmonic image feed-through and optionally B-mode (fundamental) feed-through. The resulting B-mode flow image has low clutter from stationary or slow-moving tissue or vessel walls, high resolution, high frame rate and flow sensitivity in all directions.

The position sensing module detects spatial information associated with a volume of data. The display displays first and second images based on the volume of data. The first and second images comprise first and second portions of the volume of data, and the first and second portions are at least partially different with respect to each other. The user interface selects a first image tracking point on the first image. The first image tracking point is indicated on the first image with a first indicator. The image tracking module tracks the first image tracking point within the volume of data. The image tracking module indicates on the display a spatial relationship of the first image tracking point to the second image.

The transducer array receives a first ultrasound beam having a first focal depth. The data acquisition system receives a first ultrasound imaging signal from the array. The imaging processor combines a first data contribution from the first image data with at least second image data from a second ultrasound imaging signal to create a spatially compounded image. The first data contribution is based on at least the focal depth of the first beam.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for adjusting the shape of a region of interest (ROI) in a frame of imaging data in response to an operator-actuated change in the depth of the ROI. The displayed image has a background region of data acquired using a first imaging mode and an ROI of data acquired using a second imaging mode. The ROI is surrounded by the background region and bounded by an ROI graphic. The adjustment in the shape of the ROI is accomplished by programming the imaging system with an algorithm that maintains the height and the bottom width of the ROI substantially constant. Only the top width of the ROI and the angles of the edge lines are automatically changed in response to the operator-actuated change in ROI depth.
