摘要: An information processing apparatus obtains an ultrasonic image at a frame rate higher than that of a photoacoustic image. A first photoacoustic image is obtained at a first time point, a second photoacoustic image is obtained at a second time point after the first time point, and a first ultrasonic image is obtained at a third time point included in a period of time after the first time point and before the second time point. At least one of the first and second photoacoustic images is associated with the first ultrasonic image based on the relationship among the first to third time points.

摘要: This application presents a system and related methods that analyze a volume of tissue using ultrasound waveform tomography imaging. By using frequency-domain waveform tomography techniques and a gradient descent algorithm, the system can reconstruct the sound speed distributions of a volume of tissue, such as breast tissue, of varying densities with different types of lesions. By allowing sound speed to have an imaginary component that characterizes sound attenuation, the system can classify the different types of lesions with a fine granularity.

摘要: Methods and systems for modulation and mapping of brain tissue in a subject using an ultrasound assembly are provided. An exemplary method for modulation uses an ultrasound assembly including a housing and an ultrasound transducer joined to the housing. The method includes securing the housing to the head of the subject with the ultrasound transducer aligned with a region of the brain tissue to target the region of the brain tissue for modulating, and providing focused ultrasound at an acoustic pressure to the targeted region using the ultrasound transducer to induce cavitation proximate the targeted region. The method further includes detecting a cavitation signal magnitude from the induced cavitation corresponding to the acoustic pressure and modulating the targeted region.

摘要: Systems and methods for registering pre-operative medical images, such as computed tomography (“CT”) images, to the coordinate space of an ultrasound treatment system are provided. The registration is generally based on minimizing distances between locations associated with an anatomical feature, as identified from the medical images, and spherical surfaces defined by time-of-flight measurements for ultrasound data acquired from the anatomical feature by transducer elements. The locations associated with the anatomical feature, which may be a skull of the subject, can be points or planar surfaces define on the anatomical feature. The registration methods described here can be useful for aberration correction and targeting using an array of high-frequency ultrasound elements. In combination with cavitation monitoring and control, this ultrasound-based registration of CT images could eliminate the need for MRI during these treatments.

摘要: Systems and methods for treating skin and subcutaneous tissue with energy such as ultrasound energy are disclosed. In various embodiments, ultrasound energy is applied at a region of interest to affect tissue by cutting, ablating, micro-ablating, coagulating, or otherwise affecting the subcutaneous tissue to conduct numerous procedures that are traditionally done invasively in a non-invasive manner. Lifting sagging tissue on a face, neck, and/or body are described. Treatment with heat is provided in several embodiments.

摘要: According to one embodiment, an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires position information relating to an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic image. The processing circuitry acquires ultrasonic image data which is obtained by transmission and reception of ultrasonic from the ultrasonic probe at a position where the position information is acquired, the ultrasonic image data being associated with the position information. The processing circuitry executes associating between a first coordinate system relating to the position information and a second coordinate system relating to medical image data. The processing circuitry executes image alignment between an ultrasonic image based on the associated ultrasonic image data and a medical image based on the medical image data.
