摘要： A mobile station is provided. The mobile station has a plurality of removable user identification modules, key generation logic, and hash logic. The plurality of removable user identification modules are each configured to store unique corresponding information associated with a corresponding plurality of cellular subscriptions. The key generation logic is configured generate a hash key. The hash logic is coupled to the key generation logic, and is configured to employ the hash key to determine parameters and attributes for continuing communication with a base station, where each of the parameters and attributes are determined to maximize use of common hardware and software within the mobile station to concurrently provide for communications in support of the corresponding plurality of cellular subscriptions.

摘要： Percentage concentrations of constituents or color components of a sample are determined using a spectral analyzer with a wide illumination spot size and detector. The analyzer irradiates the sample, picks up diffuse reflectance of individual wavelengths from the sample and spatially separates the diffuse reflectance into a response at individual wavelengths. The result is to simultaneously detect the intensities of the individual wavelengths in parallel from the sample being analyzed. Percentage constituents of a composite substance can be determined or, alternatively, the components of color in a sample can be determined by analyzing wavelengths of reflected light.

摘要： A method, apparatus, and system are disclosed providing improved paging procedures in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, a Power-down Registration signal is transmitted via a 1×RTT modem from an Access Terminal (AT) to an Access Network (AN) in a wireless communication system that includes both a 1×RTT modem and a 1×HRPD modem. The Power-down Registration signal conveys information to the AN indicating that a power-down process has been initiated by the AT, and thereby enables the AN to discontinue transmission of signals and messages to the AT that are not effective when the AT is in an off-state.

The mobile device may schedule a sleep cycle based on the at least one parameter, which may reduce battery consumption in the mobile device. The second one or more messages may be sent less frequently than the first one or more overhead messages.

摘要： A tracking stage has an optical filter with a free spectral range greater than the maximum mode hop of a tunable laser. The free spectral range is sufficient to determine the wavelength of the laser output after the mode hop. The output is dithered or a quadrature signal is used to determine whether the mode hop is forwards or backwards. In a further embodiment, a second tracking stage with a shorter free spectral range is coupled to the tunable laser to provide enhanced wavelength resolution. Alternatively, the second tracking stage is omitted and the signal of the tracking stage is amplified to enhance wavelength resolution.
