    摘要: An automatic lubricant dispenser has a lower housing part formed with an outlet, a piston displaceable along an axis in the lower part and forming therein a compartment, a spindle extending along the axis, threaded into the piston, having an upper end above the piston provided with a lower coupling half, and a body of fluent lubricant filling the compartment. An upper housing part removably securable to the lower part holds an electrical motor unit having an output shaft projecting downward at the axis and provided with an upper coupling half axially engageable with the lower coupling half. The coupling halves are axially engageable to rotationally couple the motor output shaft to the spindle so that electrical energization of the motor when the coupling halves are engaged displaces the piston and expresses lubricant from the outlet. A sensor connected to the shaft generates an output after a predetermined angular displacement of the shaft. An erasable nonvolatile memory in the upper housing part is associated with a reset switch for clearing the nonvolatile memory and with electrically powered controller. This controller is also connected to the sensor means and nonvolatile memory for periodically energizing the motor, for storing in the nonvolatile memory information about elapsed time since last energization of the motor and the number of outputs emitted by the sensor means, and for reading the information stored in the memory.

The coupling halves are axially engageable to rotationally couple the motor output shaft to the spindle. A battery is provided in the battery compartment and a circuit board fixed to the insert is connected between the battery and the motor unit. An on-off switch mounted on the circuit board is actuatable to energize the motor unit from the battery. The insert, motor unit, battery, circuit board, and switch together forming a core subassembly normally held between the upper and lower subassemblies.

    摘要: A lubricating system has a housing formed with an intake passage, a drive shaft extending longitudinally in the housing and carrying a plurality of longitudinally spaced worm gears, and respective pumps juxtaposed with the worm gears in the housing. Each pump has a cylinder fixed in the housing, centered on a respective transverse axis, and forming an intake port connected to the passage and an output port. A cavity-forming piston is rotatable about and reciprocal along the respective transverse axis and a worm wheel on the piston meshes with the respective worm gear. An axially projecting cam ramp on the worm wheel is axially engageable with an abutment on the housing. This abutment can be moved axially and for fixing it in any of a multiplicity of positions for varying axial deflection of the piston. A spring bearing against the piston urges the ramp toward the abutment. Rotation of the shaft rotates and reciprocates the piston for drawing in a lubricant at the intake ports and expelling it at the output ports so that the range of axial movement of the piston and the amount of lubricant pumped are determined by the axial deflection of the piston by the ramp.

The inventive device comprises a lubricant dispenser (1) connected to the lubricating point of the rolling bearing (7) and a measuring unit (8) allocated to the rolling bearing (7) for detecting the condition of the bearing. The lubricant dispenser (1) comprises a lubricant container with a supply of lubricant (2), a discharge device with an electromotor drive (3) and a control device (4) lined with the measuring device (8). The control device (4) of the lubricant dispenser (1) emits control signals to the electromotor drive (3) at certain intervals prompting it to discharge small amounts of lubricant and changes the discharge times and/or the duration of the discharge intervals if the measuring signal emitted by the measuring unit (8) exceeds a defined value. In this case, a signal for displaying an incipient bearing defect is also emitted.

    摘要: A flowable lubricant is metered in pulses to a chain drive under the control of the computer programmed to respond to measurement of the chain drive speed so that, when the speed of the chain drive is below a threshold level above which centrifugal force can cause loss of lubricant, the lubricant can flow in pulses to the chain drive. When, however, the speed of the chain drive rises to the threshold value, the pulse dispenser is blocked and the supply of lubricant pulses is terminated. The lubricant pulses which are not supplied during the interval are stored. When pulse supply of lubrication is restored, the stored lubricant pulses are supplied.
