    摘要: Methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided to improve the efficiency of resource allocation in wireless communication networks. In one provided embodiment, a wireless communication device determines a received signal strength of each of a number of signals received from a number of transmission sectors, provides first channel information for first signals including a signal having a highest received signal strength and signals having a received signal strength above a specified level relative to the highest received signal strength, provides second channel information for second signals including signals having a received signal strength below the specified level, and receives an allocation of one or more resource blocks from assigned transmission sectors based on a ranking of the first channel information, whereby the one or more resource blocks are reallocated to another wireless communication device, from another transmission sector, based on the second channel information. The creation or update is based on conversion of the security context used in an evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) in the Mobility Management Entity (MME) to a security context for the circuit switched domain target system and transferring it to a MSC/VLR. When user equipment is moved from E-UTRAN to GSM EDGE Radio Access Network/Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (GERAN/UTRAN), a MME does not need to perform authentication and key agreement procedures to establish shared circuit switched security context for the user equipment.

    摘要: Techniques for transmitting data in a manner to support multi-user scheduling, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission, and interference cancellation are described. A base station assigns multiple time segments of a transmission time interval (TTI) to at least one terminal, maps data for each terminal to at least one time segment assigned to the terminal, and spreads the data in each time segment with at least one channelization code used in the TTI. A terminal receives an assignment of at least one time segment from among multiple time segments of the TTI, obtains input samples for the at least one time segment, and despreads the input samples with the at least one channelization code used in the TTI.
