摘要: The invention relates to a method for delivering a flavored and/or nutritionally enhanced non-carbonated beverage on premise. The method comprises a step of providing at least one packaged source of a liquid premix base comprising at least one microbiologically, physically, enzymatically and/or chemically sensitive beverage component which is not solely carbohydrate, a water activity lowering component. The liquid premix based is formulated with a water activity and/or solid content effective to render it shelf stable at room temperature. The method comprises a step of separately providing a plurality of flowable additive packaged sources adapted to tailor the flavor, aroma, body and/or nutritional value of the beverage. The method comprises a step in which liquid premix base is mixed to hot or cold non-carbonated water to provide a beverage base which is dispensed to the cup and wherein at least one additive is delivered and mixed with the beverage base into the cup.

摘要: A method and a device are provided for dispensing multiple portions of a fluid that is stored in a container having a port and a flexible dispensing tube. The flexible dispensing tube includes an inlet and an outlet. The inlet is integrally sealed to the port and a viscoelastic valve is mounted in the outlet. The method includes a compression step and a step of terminating compression. The method also includes a step implemented at the end of the compression step that releases the pressure in a tube portion between a first tube portion and the valve.

摘要: Eddy current based method and apparatus uses a repetitive square wave signal applied to an excitation coil and operates in a pulse echo mode by gating the detected field signal at synchronized intervals to generate one or more sequences of like gated slices obtained from respective detector positions on a circular scan path. Suitable time gating to exclude surface and near-surface reflections overcomes surface clutter and flaws are detected by examination of the sequence of slices for characteristic changes in level. Both method and apparatus have special application for crack investigations at rivet fasteners or similar, e.g. in airframes, and have ability to cope with ferrous fasteners in non-ferrous material. Excitation coil and magnetic detector are combined in a probe and the latter is driven around a circular scan path. A centering display is derived by examination of the near-surface reflection signal to determine the position and level of the peak slice level on the scan path sequence of slices.

摘要: A private mobile radio transmission system comprising a plurality of geographically spaced base stations (BS) defining a plurality of overlapping service areas (SA). The base stations are coupled for example by land-line communication links (CL) to a system controller (SC). Mobile stations (MS) equipped with simplex two-way radios are free to roam through the service areas. In order to be able to make a call with or via a base station it is necessary for the mobile station to be registered with the base station concerned. Details of the registration are stored by the mobile station concerned and the base station. In order to optimise on the usage of radio channels, details of a home base station are preprogrammed into each mobile station and when the mobile station wishes to register with a base station, it is instructed to try to register firstly with its own base station, on the basis that the majority of calls will be to and from the home service area and will require only one pair of frequencies, secondly with a base station of any other service area in its region, and thirdly with a base station of a service area in any other region. When registered with a service area other than its home one, the mobile station checks regularly to see if it is possible to register with its home service area.

摘要: A system for testing a communications network includes a controller having a computing device with a controller application and an operator having a microcontroller and a device interface module controlled by the microcontroller. A handheld communications device is operatively connected to the operator through the device interface module and adapted to communicate over the communications network being tested. The controller and the operator are connected by an out-of-band wireless control link to allow communication therebetween outside of the communications network being tested. The operator is adapted to receive commands from the controller over the out-of-band control link and, upon receipt of a command from the controller over the out-of-band control link, to initiate in-band communication on the handheld communications device over the communications network through the device interface module.
