摘要: A transformation toughened, high-strength steel alloy useful in plate steel applications achieves extreme fracture toughness (Cv>80 ft-lbs corresponding to KId≧200 ksi.in1/2) at strength levels of 150-180 ksi yield strength, is weldable and formable. The alloy is characterized by dispersed austenite stabilization for transformation toughening to a weldable, bainitic plate steel and is strengthened by precipitation of M2C carbides in combination with copper and nickel. The desired microstructure is a matrix containing a bainite-martensite mix, BCC copper and M2C carbide particles for strengthening with a fine dispersion of optimum stability austenite for transformation toughening. The bainite-martensite mix is formed by air-cooling from solution treatment temperature and subsequent aging at secondary hardening temperatures to precipitate the toughening and strengthening dispersions.

摘要: A structure can be installed in and removed from a body of water in a seasonal fashion. The structure has a lower level that includes a boat lift and may include an upper level that provides an entertainment area. The structure carries a buoyancy system for selectively floating the structure on the body of water or sinking the structure in the water. A substantially enclosed boathouse may form the structure when the structure has only a lower level. The boathouse is seperable into sections each of which could be separately rolled over the ground by wheels attached to each section. This reduces the usual operational width of the boathouse into the smaller towed widths of the individual sections to ease the task of transporting the boathouse over the ground.

摘要: This invention relates to a selectorized dumbbell having a handle that can be dropped down between nested left and right stacks of weight plates. The weight plates can comprise individual weights or a pair of weight plates, one from each stack, can be connected together to form a single weight. A selector is provided to allow the user to select a desired number of weight plates from each stack and couple such weight plates to the handle to provide an adjustable weight dumbbell. Each weight includes a weight frame having at least one carrier to which a commodity weight can be fastened. The dumbbell can be shipped by the manufacturer with empty weight frames to reduce shipping costs. When the dumbbell with empty weight frames reaches a destination, the dumbbell can be completed by securing commodity weights to the carriers on the respective weight frames.

A selector is provided to allow the user to select a desired number of weight plates from each stack and couple such weight plates to the handle to provide an adjustable weight dumbbell. Each weight plate comprises a pair of thinner or partial thickness weight subplates that are abutted and welded together, e.g. a ½″ weight plate is formed by a pair of ¼″ weight subplates. This substantially decreases the cost of manufacturing the selectorized dumbbell.

摘要: A method and system for financial allocation and forecasting for calculating daily, weekly, and monthly spending rates that can be used by a company or a person is disclosed, providing an over/under forecast variance. The forecast variance is converted to the number of days required to reduce all spending to zero to eliminate over spending. The method receives financial data either manually or by a program application and treats all transactions as cash equivalents. The method includes a plurality of program applications formulated to generate a plurality of forecasting parameters. A rate factor which is a subjective decision of the user is received from a range −3 to +3 to automatically calculate an under/over value variance. The invention utilizes Gregorian calendar that has a five week month occurring every three months to identify 7.7% savings of yearly income. Further, the method converts the irregular yearly and quarterly expenses into monthly amounts and put the expenses in savings. The method categorizes the spending into need which is essential and wants which is optional for the user. It integrates all financial decisions made within the invention into a forecast of today's cash balance.

摘要: An apparatus, program product and method utilize metadata collected for a lock in a computer program to determine an optimal lock acquisition strategy for the lock. The metadata is typically collected via profiling of the computer program to determine a wait characteristic for the lock in the particular runtime environment in which the computer program executes, and the metadata is used to select from among different lock access implementations to be used to attempt to acquire the lock, often enabling an optimum lock access implementation to be selected for a lock.
