摘要： There is provided a handrail for passenger conveyor in which it is possible to give a prescribed strength to a junction of a canvas and it is possible to prevent vibrations and noises which might be generated when a driving roller passes by the junction of the canvas. For this purpose, a canvas is provided along an inner surface of an annular core body having a C-shaped cross section, which is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer material, and a surface of each of adjacent end portions of the canvas in a junction is formed to be indented toward the core body side compared to surfaces of other portions which form an inner surface of a handrail. An application cloth is provided between the end portions of the canvas so as to cover a gap formed between the end portions of the canvas. A surface of a portion of the application cloth corresponding to a flat portion of the core body is arranged to be flush with an adjacent surface of the canvas, whereas a surface of a portion corresponding to a curved portion of the core body is arranged to be indented with respect to the adjacent surface of the canvas.

The self-travelling means travels on a balustrade of a passenger conveyor along a longitudinal direction of a moving handrail. The heating means heats and melts a surface portion of the moving handrail. The surface portion of the moving handrail is formed of a thermoplastic material. In a case where the surface portion of the moving handrail is damaged, an object portion to be repaired of the surface portion is heated and melted, and then the object portion is re-hardened.

摘要： A ring network has first and second network connecting offices for connecting ring networks together and for dropping a signal from a terminal office. Each node of the ring network recognizes whether it is the first network connecting office based upon channel setting information. A first node, which has been recognized as being the first network connecting office, executes a squelch-table creation procedure between itself and other nodes based upon the channel setting information, thereby identifying a second node, which is the second network connecting office. The first node embeds office identification information in a squelch table of a protection channel and sends this information to the second node. The second node recognizes that it itself is the second network connecting office based upon the office identification information.

摘要： An endless moving handrail for a passenger conveyor is formed by heating and connecting together both end portions of a handrail developed body with a connection die. The handrail developed body includes a core body that is made of a thermoplastic elastomer and has a substantially C-shaped cross section, a tensile body arranged inside the core body along a longitudinal direction of the core body, and a canvas arranged on an inner surface of the core body. In the moving handrail for a passenger conveyor, both the end portions of the handrail developed body heated with the connection die are formed as a handrail connection section. A bending stiffness of the handrail connection section is reduced from a longitudinal intermediate portion toward a longitudinal outer side of the handrail connection section.
