    摘要: An image signal sent from an image sensor is input to the inverting terminal of a differential amplifier. An A/D converter converts an output of the differential amplifier to digital output data. A comparison circuit compares the digital output data with a reference value in a dummy bit period to produce a comparison result, for instance, a difference between the digital output data and the reference value. Based on the comparison result, a correction value setting circuit modifies a correction value so that a DC offset becomes closer to the reference value. For example, the correction value setting circuit adds the difference obtained by the comparison circuit to the correction value. A D/A converter converts the modified correction data to an analog voltage, which is input to the noninverting terminal of the differential amplifier.

    摘要: According to an aspect of the invention, an image processing apparatus includes a generating unit, a calculating unit, a receiving unit, and a changing unit. The generating unit generates a plurality of histograms of images with respect to each color based on an input image. The calculating unit calculates a plurality of first image densities of the images from the histograms. The receiving unit receives a content of image quality adjustment performed on the input image. The changing unit changes one of the histograms based on the content of the image quality adjustment. The one of the histogram corresponds to one of the images on which the image quality adjustment is performed. The calculating unit calculates a second image density corresponding to the one the images based on the one of the histogram changed by the changing unit.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus includes the following elements. A characteristic value calculator calculates characteristic values of a preset area set around a pixel of interest. A trapping determining unit determines, for each color plane of an N-valued image, on the basis of the calculated characteristic values, whether the pixel of interest is to be subjected to trapping processing. A pixel value calculator sets, for each color plane, a position of a reference pixel in a reference area, and calculates a pixel value for changing the pixel value of the pixel of interest on the basis of a pixel value of each color plane at the position of the reference pixel. A pixel-of-interest value changing unit changes the pixel value of the pixel of interest into the calculated pixel value when the trapping determining unit determines that the pixel of interest is to be subjected to trapping processing.

    摘要: A ROM stores density conversion tables appropriate for a present apparatus to execute recording and standard density conversion tables. As a command is entered on a control panel, a CPU sets the optimum density conversion table in a RAM and again converts image data of 256 levels of gradation for a density adjustment. Resultant image data undergoes false halftone processing in an error diffusion circuit and is transmitted to the present apparatus or a destination recorder. When the record characteristic of the destination recorder is unknown, the standard density conversion table is used, so that no large difference occurs for recording.
