摘要: According to the present invention, there is provided a disinfection system for a radiation image conversion panel, a radiation image conversion film, and/or a light shielding bag that can be used to wrap such a radiation image conversion film therein including a disinfection unit which applies at least a disinfection treatment to a radiation image conversion panel, and an image reading apparatus including the disinfection system. In the disinfection system for a radiation image conversion panel, preferably the disinfection treatment by the disinfection unit is at least one of a heat treatment, an ultraviolet irradiation treatment, a chemical application treatment or a gas treatment.

摘要: A radiation image storage panel comprises a stimulable phosphor layer capable of emitting light when being exposed to stimulating rays, which cause the stimulable phosphor layer to emit the light in proportion to an amount of energy stored on the stimulable phosphor layer during exposure of the stimulable phosphor layer to radiation. The stimulable phosphor layer is adapted for radiating out the emitted light with an intensity distribution that is compressed in a direction, which is normal to a surface of the stimulable phosphor layer, and into an oblate distribution, which is flatter than a cos θ distribution.

摘要: A radiation image recording and read-out apparatus comprises a read-out and erasing unit provided with an image read-out device for irradiating stimulating rays to an image-recorded stimulable phosphor sheet and detecting light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet upon exposure to stimulating rays, and a device for erasing radiation energy remaining on the stimulable phosphor sheet. The read-out and erasing unit is reciprocated normal to the direction of irradiation of stimulating rays for carrying out image read-out during forward movement, and carrying out erasing by the erasing device during backward movement. The read-out and erasing unit may be provided with two erasing devices on either side of the image read-out device for carrying out image read-out by the image read-out device and erasing by the erasing device positioned on the upstream side of the image read-out device during forward movement, and carrying out image read-out by the image read-out device and erasing by the other erasing device positioned on the upstream side of the image read-out device during backward movement.

摘要: A radiation image storage panel composed of a substrate and a layer of stimulable phosphor is prepared in an evaporation chamber kept at a pressure of 0.1 to 10 Pa by the steps of heating a source of the stimulable phosphor in the chamber so that the source is evaporated to give a gaseous product and depositing the gaseous product on the substrate which is arranged above the source to form the layer of stimulable phosphor on the substrate, in which the evaporation chamber has a diffusion preventing wall member surrounding a space between the source and the substrate, a top of which is positioned in the vicinity of a periphery of the substrate and a bottom of which is positioned in the vicinity of the source; and the diffusion preventing wall member is maintained at a temperature lower than a temperature of the source and higher than a temperature of the substrate.

摘要: A radiation image read-out apparatus is constituted for exposing a recording material provided with a stimulable phosphor and carrying a radiation image stored thereon to stimulating rays which cause the recording material to emit light in proportion to the stored radiation energy, and photoelectrically detecting the emitted light to read out the radiation image. The apparatus is provided with a multi-layer optical filter whose reflectivity with respect to stimulating rays increases as the angle of incidence of stimulating rays increases. The multi-layer optical filter is disposed in the optical path of stimulating rays in the vicinity of the recording material or formed on the surface of the recording material on the stimualting ray irradiation side, thereby increasing the efficiency of utilization of stimulating rays. In one embodiment, a second multi-layer optical filter is disposed in the vicinity of or formed on the surface of the recording material on the emitted light detection side. The second filter substantially reflects stimulating rays and substantially transmits the emitted light.
