    摘要: An image heating device is provided with a film having an electrical conductive layer, a magnetic flux generating unit. An eddy current is generated on the electrical conductive layer by the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic flux generating unit. The electrical conductive layer generates heat, and an image is heated by the heat of the film. The film is provided with an elastic layer arranged on the image side of the electrical conductive layer, and a primer layer is arranged between the electrical conductive layer and the elastic layer. It is possible to effectuate a heating fixation that can be started quickly with generating no nonuniformity in the image gloss and maintaining a high image quality.

The silicone rubber surface layer can exhibit improved wear resistance while retaining a good toner releasability.

    摘要: A heat fixing belt having an electrically conductive layer in which an eddy current is produced by an alternating magnetic field applied from outside the belt thereby generating heat. The belt further includes toner release layer disposed on the surface of the fixing belt, the fixing belt being characterized in that the electrically conductive layer is an aluminum layer with a thickness less than 35 .mu.m, and having a rubber elastic layer between the aluminum layer and the toner release layer. The rubber elastic layer is disposed between the aluminum layer and the toner release layer making it possible to greatly reduce the time required to heat the fixing belt up to a predetermined temperature necessary for the fixing operation after the electric power is turned on. Thus, the invention can provide a heat fixing apparatus capable of quickly starting the fixing operation.

When a data request is issued from the sink device to the source device, device authentication is made between the source device and the first data processing unit to generate second authentication keys having the same data. The source device encrypts an exchange key using the second authentication key, and sends the encrypted exchange key to the first data processing unit. The first data processing unit decrypts the encrypted exchange key using the second authentication key, encrypts the decrypted exchange key using the first authentication key, and sends the encrypted exchange key to the second data processing unit. The second data processing unit decrypts the encrypted exchange key using the first authentication key to obtain an exchange key.

The method of manufacturing the prism shaped polygon mirror having a film on the reflecting surface comprises a step of application for applying a solution containing a substance for forming a film on the reflecting surface, and a step of forming a coated film of the solution on the reflecting surface by rotating the polygon mirror, and the solution is applied only in the area of which the distance from the axis of rotation of the polygon mirror is at least Ri in the application step, where Ri is the minimum distance between the reflecting surface and the axis of rotation.
