Abstract: A copolymer obtained by condensation of i) 90 to 99.5 mol %, based on components i) to ii), of succinic acid; ii) 0.5 to 10 mol %, based on components i) to ii), of azelaic acid, sebacic acid and/or brassylic acid; iii) 98 to 102 mol %, based on components i) to ii), of 1,3-propanediol or 1,4 butanediol, and iv) 0.01% to 5% by weight, based on the total weight of the components i) to ii), of a chain extender and/or crosslinker selected from the group consisting of an at least trihydric alcohol or an at least tribasic carboxylic acid.
