摘要: A film forming apparatus, a substrate processing apparatus, and a device manufacturing method are provided, which improve the film thickness uniformity of a thin film that is formed on a substrate by spraying a thin film material. The film forming apparatus which forms a thin film on a substrate is provided with a nozzle that sprays a thin film material and an exhaust unit that discharges a gas. An exhaust port of the exhaust unit is arranged on a side that is opposite to the direction in which the gravity acts with respect to the substrate. The substrate processing apparatus performs a predetermined process on the substrate using the film forming apparatus. The device manufacturing method manufactures a device using the film forming apparatus.

摘要: Provided herein is a device for forming a conductive film. The device includes a deposition device and an air supply. The deposition device is configured to form a wet film having conductive nanostructures and a fluid carrier on a web. The web is moved in a first direction while forming the wet film. The air supply is disposed at a side of the web and configured to apply an air flow onto the wet film. The air flow is directed onto the wet film in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction to reorient a direction of some conductive nanostructures in the wet film to define reoriented conductive nanostructures.

摘要: An applicator is disclosed for applying sealant to a moving substrate. The applicator includes a wheel having a periphery. A plurality of spaced apart footprints extends around the periphery of the wheel and each footprint has a sealant receiving feature. A reservoir is provided for containing a supply of sealant to be applied to the moving substrate. The wheel is rotatably mounted at least partially in the reservoir such that as the wheel rotates, each of the spaced apart footprints repeatedly moves through a supply of sealant in the reservoir to pick up a charge of sealant, around one side of the wheel toward the moving substrate, adjacent the moving substrate to transfer the sealant charge to the substrate, and around the other side of the wheel back toward the supply of sealant. At least one stop is formed on each of the footprints for inhibiting sealant picked up by the footprint from being urged rearwardly on the footprint by high speed rotation of the wheel. A backstop may be formed at a trailing end of each footprint and mid-stops may be formed between a leading end of each footprint and the trailing end.

摘要: A method of forming a coating on a food or beverage container, which includes spraying a coating composition onto an interior surface of the food or beverage container, where the coating composition includes a latex copolymer and a metal drier or crosslinking agent. The latex copolymer is a reaction product of monomers that include (a) one or more styrene-mimicking monomers containing one or more cyclic groups and one or more ethylenically-unsaturated groups, at least a portion of such styrene-mimicking monomers being polycyclic monomers containing ring unsaturation, and (b) one or more other ethylenically-unsaturated monomers. Preferably, the coating composition is substantially free of each of BPA, PVC, other halogenated monomers, and optionally styrene. The method may also include curing the sprayed coating composition, thereby providing the coating on the interior surface of the food or beverage container.

摘要: There is provided an embossed film in which the frequency of loss of concavities is smaller, the embossed film including: a film main body; and a plurality of concavities formed on a surface of the film main body. A diameter of an opening surface of the concavity is larger than a visible light wavelength, an arrangement pattern of the concavities has periodicity along a length direction of the film main body, and the difference between the rate of loss of concavities in one end portion of the film main body and the rate of loss of concavities in the other end portion of the film main body is 10 ppm or less.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a bi-layered coating is provided, which includes applying a primer paint on a substrate, wherein the primer paint includes 100 parts by weight of a first polyvinyl fluoride, 20 to 50 parts by weight of an assistance resin, and 150 to 170 parts by weight of a first latent solvent, and wherein the assistance resin is polyester modified epoxy resin, polyester type polyurethane resin, phenoxy resin, or a combination thereof. The primer paint is baked and dried to form a primer coating. A finish paint is then applied onto the primer coating, wherein the finish paint includes 100 parts by weight of a second polyvinyl fluoride and 120 to 150 parts by weight of a second latent solvent. The finish paint is baked and dried to form a finish coating on the primer coating.

In particular embodiments, a web does not contact any hardware components during the deposition. A web may be supported before and after the deposition chamber but not inside the deposition chamber. At such support points, the web may be exposed to different conditions (e.g., temperature) than during the deposition.

摘要: A method for coating a surface of a substrate may involve coating the surface of the substrate with a wet coating by way of a coating station, conveying the substrate by way of a conveying device, and detecting the surface coated with the wet coating by producing a thermal image of a detection region that comprises part of the surface. The thermal image may be recorded in a spectral range that includes a wavelength between 1 micrometer and 20 micrometers. Further, the detection region may be located directly downstream of the coating station, or the detection region may at least partially include the coating station.
