Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing compositions containing vinylaromatic copolymers which are obtained in an emulsion polymerization process and comprise production-related salt inclusions. Said compositions are characterized by an improved surface quality once the extruded polymer, before being granulated, or the granulate, after being granulated, has been moistened by bringing the polymer in contact with liquid water in a water bath, a tube system filled with water, or a dipping tank, thus making the compositions suitable for producing molded articles having a class A surface that remains flawless over time.
Abstract:
A stabilized thermoplastic molding composition is disclosed. The composition contains A) aromatic polycarbonate and/or polyester carbonate, B) a rubber-modified graft polymer or its mixture with a rubber-free (co)polymer and C) a Bronsted acid compound. The inventive composition is characterized in its improved stability under processing conditions. Also disclosed is a process for the production of the composition and its use for the production of shaped articles.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing compositions containing vinyl-aromatic copolymers that are obtained in an emulsion polymerization process and comprise production-related salt inclusions. Said compositions are characterized by improved surface quality following storage in a warm-humid environment and are therefore suitable for producing molded articles having a class A surface that remains flawless over time.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to polycarbonate compositions comprising A) from 10 to 99 parts by weight, in each case based on the sum of components A+B+C, of aromatic polycarbonate and/or aromatic polyester carbonate, B) from 1 to 35 parts by weight, in each case based on the sum of components A+B+C, of rubber-modified graft polymer of B.1 from 5 to 95 wt. % of at least one vinyl monomer on B.2 from 95 to 5 wt. % of one or more graft bases having a glass transition temperature
Abstract:
The present invention relates to polycarbonate compositions comprising: A) an aromatic polycarbonate and/or aromatic polyester carbonate; B) a graft polymer obtainable by co-precipitation of a mixture of at least two graft polymer dispersions B.1 and B.2, wherein the production of the graft polymer component B.1 takes place using at least one redox system as initiator and wherein the production of the graft polymer component B.2 takes place using at least one persulfate compound as initiator; C) optionally a vinyl (co)polymer and/or polyalkylene terephthalate; D) optionally a phosphorus-containing flame retardant; E) at least one phenolic antioxidant; F) optionally a neutral phosphorus- or sulfur-containing co-stabilisers (synergists); and G) optionally additives. Compositions of the present invention are distinguished by an optimum combination of good hydrolysis resistance and a light natural colour. The present invention also relates to the use of polycarbonate compositions for the production of mouldings and mouldings per se as well.
