Abstract:
A control pulse generator is connected to control the gates of thyristor-type inverter circuits supplying an asynchronous dynamo electric machine with a-c power from a d-c source. The slip frequency is determined by a slip frequency pulse generator supplying pulses at a pulse repetition frequency (PRF) representative of a command value, in a feedback circuit including a tachometer generator supplying pulses at a PRF representative of speed of the machine; pulses are applied to a bi-directional counter, the count in the counter controlling the control pulse generator. To prevent simultaneous input to the forward and reverse terminals of the bi-directional counter, a clock pulse source of predetermined frequency which is higher than the highest PRF expected is connected to a time-scanning and division network interconnecting the outputs of the various pulse sources and the counter so that pulses will be applied to the counter only as controlled by the clock pulse source. To enable the control pulse generator to have a wide range, for example between 50 to 30,000 Hz with controlled on-off ratio, a chopper applies positive and negative pulses to an integrator which is connected to a threshold amplifier, providing an output each time the threshold from the integrator is exceeded in either direction, the output controlling the operating rate of the chopper.
Abstract:
An arrangement for safely protecting against the stoppage of a wheel while driving on a road surface in a vehicle. A signal generator provides an electrical alternating current signal having a frequency proportional to the angular velocity of a wheel of the vehicle. A low pass filter connected to the output of the signal generator converts the alternating current signal into a first DC signal having a magnitude which varies in accordance with variations in the frequency of the alternating current signal. A pressure reducing valve connected in the braking line is used to regulate the intensity of the braking by being operated through an amplifier which, in turn, is connected to a comparator. An integrator in the comparator provides a second DC signal which depends on the angular velocity of a wheel of the vehicle. A threshold switch also within the comparator is connected to the integrator and receives the second DC signal.
Abstract:
A speed regulating arrangement for internal combustion engines in which an electrical pulse generator is coupled to the crankshaft of the engine and is operated in accordance with the engine speed. The pulse generator applies its output to an electronic speed regulating circuit which, in turn, operates an electromagnet having a rotatable armature. The throttle flap of the engine is coupled to the armature and positioned in accordance with the signal output from the electronic speed regulating circuit. The latter has a series circuit of a monostable stage, a low pass filter, a regulating stage and a power amplifier.
Abstract:
The outputs of two r.p.m. signal generators connected respectively to the driven and the undriven axles are fed to respective pulse shapers, the outputs of which are conducted to an analog divider that provides an output indicative of the slip between the two axles. This output operates a hydraulic control for raising and lowering the plow.
