Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to medical devices including sutures and methods of use thereof. The medical device may include a suture having projections angled with respect to a longitudinal axis of the suture and a needle coupled to the suture for inserting the suture into tissue, wherein the projections may allow movement of the suture in a first direction and prevent movement in a second direction. The suture may include an anchor at a distal end such that once the needle is removed, the suture may be pulled in a proximal direction to engage the anchor with an inner tissue wall to tighten and secure the suture within the tissue.
