Abstract:
A method includes detecting, using a WiFi access point, channel use data indicating traffic on a plurality of channels of an unlicensed LTE band in a wireless network. The method further includes providing the channel use data to a Long Term Evolution (LTE) access point. The method further includes selecting, using the LTE access point, a channel for use in transmitting data by the LTE access point from among the plurality of channels based on the channel use data from the WiFi access point. The method further includes providing, from the LTE access point, an indication of an upcoming transmission configured to transmit data on the channel to the WiFi access point. The method further includes broadcasting one or more messages from the WiFi access point to one or more WiFi nodes, the one or more messages configured to prevent the WiFi nodes from transmitting on the channel.
Abstract:
A method includes transmitting, at an LTE device configured to transmit data over an unlicensed band, first synchronization data over a first frequency channel of the unlicensed band during a timeframe. The method further includes transmitting, at one of the first LTE device or a second LTE device, second synchronization data over a second frequency channel of the unlicensed band during the same timeframe. The data transmissions of at least one of the first LTE device or the second LTE device are coordinated based on the synchronization data.
Abstract:
A method includes transmitting, at an access point configured to transmit data over an unlicensed band, a message to user equipment. The user equipment transmits to the access point an acknowledgement message indicating whether data provided within the message was successfully received in response to the message. The method further includes determining, at the access point, whether a buffer associated with the user equipment is empty. The method further includes retransmitting, from the access point to the user equipment, the message in response to determining the buffer of the user equipment is empty.
Abstract:
A method includes transmitting, at an access point configured to transmit data over an unlicensed band, a single message prior to transmitting data over a channel of the unlicensed band. The method further includes receiving, at the access point, a plurality of responses from a plurality of user equipment acknowledging the single message in response to the single message.
Abstract:
A communication system is disclosed that includes a communication transmitter that converts various information signals that collectively occupy a large signal bandwidth into various signals that individually occupy small signal bandwidths for transmission to a communication receiver. The communication receiver converts these various signals that individually occupy the small signal bandwidth to recovered information signals that collectively occupy the large signal bandwidth for processing.
