    摘要: A vacuum cleaner (1) comprises an inlet (13), an outlet, a fan (14) for creating a flow of air through the vacuum cleaner (1) by drawing air to be cleaned through the inlet (13) into the vacuum cleaner (1) and by exhausting air through the outlet outwardly of the vacuum cleaner (1) and a separator (15, 41). The separator (15, 41) is rotatably arranged around an rotation axis (21), for creating, during use, a column of rotating air to separate at least a portion of the airborne particles (10) from the flow of air. The separator (15, 41) includes a number of vanes (25, 44) for the creation of the column of rotating air, wherein each vane (25, 44) is provided with a leading face (26) and a trailing face (27). The leading faces (26) of the vanes (25, 44) are inclined with respect to the rotation axis (21) for conveying the airborne particles (10) at least in an axial direction.

    摘要: The invention relates to a cleaning device (1) for removing particles from a surface (11). Thereto the device sprays droplets (200) of a fluid (201) into a space (213). The droplets (200) are expelled from a rotatable brush (3) as a mist of droplets. Air carrying dirt particles (202) is exposed to the mist, whereby dirt particles coalesce with droplets in the mist in the space (213). The coalesced particles (22) are conveyed to a cleansing unit (14) to be separated from the air. Finally, clean air exits from the device (1).

A linear mass density of the flexible brush elements (18) is chosen such as to be lower than 50 g per 10 km, at least at tip portions, and an acceleration at tips of the brush elements (18) is set such as to be at least 3,000 m/sec2, at least at some time during another period of each revolution of the brush (3, 4) than the dirt pick-up period, namely a period in which the brush elements (18) are free from contact to the surface (11).

A gap (22) is present between the fan arrangement of the air pumping device (30) and the housing (10), and in order to avoid a flow of air containing particles (5) through the gap (22), at least a major portion of the basic fan (31) is uncovered, so that a relatively strong pumping action on the basis of an interaction of an outer surface of the basic fan (31) with a stationary wall is avoided.
