Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fishing hook holder (10). The fishing hook holder (10) comprises a holder part (12) for receiving a hook. The holder past (12) is arranged so that a hook can at least partially straddle it. The fishing hook holder (10) can be stored in a receptacle (30). The fishing hook holder (10) can be either removable from the receptacle (30) or fixed thereto. The fishing hook holder (10) and the receptacle (30) can both float.
Abstract:
Fusarium infected grain is separated by comparing reflected and transmitted light at two wavelengths, one at which the light is substantially reflected and scattered the same by healthy and infected kernels, the other at which the light is reflected and scattered to a significantly greater degree by infected than healthy kernels. An apparatus having a rotating apertured cylinder, with a low internal vacuum, allows comparison of individual kernels. When comparison indicates that a kernel is infected, a lever dislodges it from the cylinder allowing it to fall into a receptacle for infected kernels. Kernels remaining on the cylinder are scraped off to fall into a receptacle for healthy kernels. Although results vary, to some extent depending on the degree of infection, approximately 90% of healthy kernels and 5% of infected kernels are deemed “healthy”, while approximately 10% of healthy kernels and 95% of infected kernels are deemed “infected,” reducing the level of infected kernels.
Abstract:
A computing device having a security model based on user permissions is provided with an ability to emulate a security model based on process capabilities by providing each executable program on the device with a separate user identity.
Abstract:
A beverage container holding device. The beverage container holding device may include a support structure and a receptacle. The support structure may include one or more upward extending members and one or more downward extending members. The receptacle may include a receptacle wall creating an interior portion and an exterior portion. The receptacle may further include one or more slots into which the upward extending member or members may be slideably inserted.
Abstract:
A visual interactive multi-criteria decision-making method and computer-based apparatus for portfolio management. The method/apparatus supports partitioning of a portfolio of physical or other assets into two mutually exclusive categories, such as assets recommended for sale and assets recommended for retention. The method/apparatus utilizes one or more coupled 2-D projections of the portfolio in criteria space. The user interacts with the projections to express and record preferences.
Abstract:
A fluid management tool for introducing fluids into a casing string incorporates a mud saver valve configured to open and allow fluid flow in response to fluid flow pressure reaching a predetermined opening pressure, and will automatically close when fluid flow pressure is reduced to or below a predetermined closure pressure, thereby preventing fluid spillage when the tool is withdrawn from the casing. The mud saver valve includes a mud saver spool having a slotted spool cage and being axially movable within a longitudinal bore in the main body of the tool, between an upper or open position in which fluid can flow out of the spool cage and into a discharge bore at the lower end of the main body, and a lower or closed position in which the lower end is seated against the exit bore to prevent flow therethrough. A check valve may be incorporated into the lower end of the mud saver spool. The fluid management tool also may incorporate a main seal and air bleed valve subassembly and a secondary suction seal and check valve subassembly.

Abstract:
The invention concerns an inner tray, arranged inside a chamber, comprising a plurality of parallel beams (1), located in a common horizontal plane and fixed through their ends to the wall of the chamber, and, between said beams and supported thereby, rows of adjacent rectangular plates (2), completely covering the space between the beams. The invention is characterized in that the supporting edges (3) of the plates (2) through which the latter are supported on the beams (1), are folded downwards by two substantially right-angled folds, and in that each of the edges (4) of the plates (2), perpendicular to the beams (1) is folded so as to form a female part (4a) or a male part (4b) capable of being respectively nested in a male (4b) or female (4a) part formed by the folded edge of the adjacent plate. The invention also concerns a chamber containing such a tray.
