    摘要: An image having enhanced cohesiveness is provided by treating the image with heat, ultraviolet radiation or chemical agents prior to transfer of the image from a photoconductor. Treating the developed image improves the efficiency of transfer, reduces the amount of residue remaining on the photoconductor and enables high quality images on a wide variety of substrates to be obtained.

The cohesiveness of the developed image on the photoconductor surface is enhanced by the application of heat, ultraviolet radiation or a catalytic agent to the developed image on the photoconductor surface.

    摘要: An optical system for transmitting a stereoscopic image to a right eye and a left eye of a user is disclosed. The system comprises an optical relay device, having a light-transmissive substrate, an input grating, a left output grating and a right output grating. The optical relay device is designed and constructed such that light is diffracted by the input grating, propagates within the light-transmissive substrate via total internal reflection, and diffracted out of the light-transmissive substrate by at least one of the left and right output gratings. The system further comprises an image generating system, optically coupled to the input grating and configured for providing collimated light constituting a left-eye image and a right-eye image wherein the left-eye image is parallactically related to the right-eye image. In various exemplary embodiments of the invention the left-eye image and the right-eye image are spectrally modulated according to different spectral maps, selected to provide different optical information to different eyes.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for transferring liquid toner images from an image forming surface (10) to an intermediate transfer member (40) for subsequent transfer to a final substrate (42). the liquid toner images include carrier liquid and pigmented polymeric toner particles which are essentially non-soluble in the carrier liquid at room temperature, and which form a single phase at elevated temperatures. The method includes the steps of: concentrating the liquid toner image by compacting the solids portion of the liquid toner image and removing carrier liquid therefrom; transferring the liquid toner image to the intermediate transfer member (40), heating the liquid toner image on the intermediate transfer member (40) to a temperature at which the toner particles and the carrier liquid form a single phase; and transferring the heated liquid toner image to a final substrate (42).
