摘要: The present disclosure relates to a titanium-containing article casting mold composition comprising calcium aluminate and an X-ray or Neutron-ray detectable element. Furthermore, present embodiments teach a method for detecting sub-surface ceramic inclusions in a titanium or titanium alloy casting by combining calcium aluminate, an element more radiographically dense than the calcium aluminate, and a liquid to form a slurry; forming a mold having the calcium aluminate and the radiographically dense element from the slurry; introducing a titanium aluminide-containing metal to the radiographically dense element-bearing mold; solidifying said titanium aluminide-containing metal to form an article in the mold; removing the solidified titanium aluminide-containing metal article from said mold; subjecting the solidified titanium aluminide-containing article to radiographic inspection to provide a radiograph; and examining said radiograph for the presence of the radiographically dense element on or in the article.

摘要: Methods and systems for drilling to a target location include a control system that receives an input comprising a planned drilling path to a target location and determines a projected location of a bottom hole assembly of a drilling system. The projected location of the bottom hole assembly is compared to the planned drilling path to determine a deviation amount. A modified drilling path is created to the target location as selected based on the amount of deviation from the planned drilling path, and drilling rig control signals that steer the bottom hole assembly of the drilling system to the target location along the modified drilling path are generated to intersect the planned drilling path if the amount of deviation from the planned path exceeds a first threshold amount of deviation.

摘要: In general, the present disclosure describes various techniques for providing multi-buffer support for off-screen surfaces in a graphics system. One example device includes one or more buffer areas and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to allocate multiple buffers within the buffer space that are all associated with an off-screen surface using in graphics processing. The one or more processors are further configured to identify a first buffer within the buffers as a write buffer for the off-screen surface and to further identify a second buffer within the buffers as a read buffer for the off-screen surface, such that information relating to the off-screen surface is written into the first buffer during a write operation and information relating to the off-screen surface is read out of the second buffer during a read operation.

摘要: In general, the present disclosure describes various techniques for overlaying or combining a set of rendered graphics surfaces onto a single graphics frame. One example device includes a first processor that selects a surface level for each of a plurality of rendered graphics surfaces prior to the device outputting any of the rendered graphics surfaces to a display. The device further includes a second processor that retrieves the rendered graphics surfaces, overlays the rendered graphics surfaces onto a graphics frame in accordance with each of the selected surface levels, and outputs the graphics frame to the display.

摘要: An apparatus is disclosed for handling a tubular segment, coupling the tubular segment with a tubular string, and handling the tubular string in a well bore. The apparatus has a tubular engagement assembly, which connects to a drive shaft of a top drive. The tubular engagement assembly has a self-engaging ball and taper assembly that releasably engages the tubular segment. When the tubular engagement assembly connects to the drive shaft and the ball and taper assembly engages the tubular segment, any rotation in the drive shaft results in rotation of the tubular segment. This rotation allows the tubular segment to engage the tubular string.
