摘要: A lifting device is provided for an assembly of a motor vehicle that can be adapted to lift various assemblies. The lifting device includes a load carrying unit having at least one support arm, and a coupling unit arranged on the support arm for releasably connecting the support arm to the assembly of a motor vehicle. The lifting device can be used as an engine hoist and/or a transmission hoist for removing and installing engines and/or transmissions and can be used to remove a wide range of assemblies, at least different engines and/or transmissions of different types of vehicles. The coupling unit is mounted on the support arm in a longitudinally movable manner. The load carrying unit is designed to be connected to a crane unit, and in particular has a crane hook holder, and/or is adjustably connected to a support unit arrangeable on a hoist unit.

摘要: A boom mountable breaker system and a method of using same for interrupting electrical transmission through a portion of an energized conductor downstream of a desired break location. The method includes: mounting the jumper onto the energized conductor across the desired break location so as to form an electrically conductive first parallel electrical path; installing an in-line opener in the energized conductor at the desired break location on the energized conductor; positioning the breaker at the desired break location on the energized conductor, and electrically connecting the breaker, while open, across the desired break location and across the opposite ends of the jumper so as to form a second parallel electrical path when the breaker is closed; closing the breaker to thereby complete the second parallel electrical path; removing the jumper from across the desired break location; and, opening and then removing the breaker.

摘要: A lift assembly for use during inflation of a balloon envelope is provided. The lift assembly includes a plate structure that has a set of cavities. Each cavity includes one or more openings passing through the plate. One or more pistons are coupled to the plate through at least one of the openings of each cavity in the set of cavities. Each piston has a hollow tube portion projecting lengthwise from the at least one opening, a flange attached to the hollow tube portion and a grabber portion in communication with the flange. The grabber portion includes a plurality of bearings for grabbing a stud attached to an apex of the balloon envelope. A handle portion is coupled to the plate. The handle is arranged to lift the balloon envelope when the bearings have grabbed a given stud.

摘要: A device (100) for capturing, centring, gripping and/or securing an object (140) is disclosed. The device comprises a hub (101) and a ring (102) which are concentric and arranged rotatably relative to each other. On the hub there is at least one first control point (111, 111′, 111″), and on the ring there is at least one second control point (112, 112′, 112″), which control points are arranged at different axial levels (151,152). At least one tensioning member (121,122,123) is arranged to interact with the at least one first control point and with the at least one second control point during the rotation, such that the at least one tensioning member is stretched across the air gap (130) in the device. The different axial levels for the at least one first control point and the at least one second control point mean that the at least one tensioning member can freely pass over the at least one first control point during the rotation and can be stretched across the air gap towards the object. Substantially any desired angle of rotation between the hub and the ring can be obtained in this way.

摘要: A slewing ring grease assembly for providing grease to internal gear teeth of a slewing ring. The slewing ring grease assembly includes a bulkhead fitting having a flange and a shaft, the shaft extends through a hole in the bulkhead attached to the slewing ring such that the shaft extends over the internal gear teeth of the slewing ring. The bulkhead fitting flange is secured to the bulkhead on a side opposite the internal gear teeth of the slewing ring. A passage through the bulkhead fitting is provided which is capable of delivering grease through the bulkhead fitting and onto the internal gear teeth of the slewing ring. The grease assembly may include a wall fitting extending through a wall of housing supporting the bulkhead and a connecting tube capable of delivering grease from the wall fitting to the passage of the bulkhead fitting.

The portable material container gripper is easily mounted to the lift arms by inserting a tube around the lift arms and locking it in place with a bar passing through an opening in the tube. The portable material container gripper includes a clamp that clamps around a horizontal bar on a refuse or material container to hold the refuse or material container in place while it is dumped into the bed of the refuse collection truck by the lift arms.

摘要: A method for mounting a wind turbine blade to a wind turbine hub by use of a crane boom is provided. The orientation of the blade is kept substantially horizontal when the blade is lifted off the ground and mounted to the rotor hub. Control wires which connect the blade via the crane boom to a winch arrangement are used for keeping the blade orientation substantially horizontal in addition to at least one bearing wire for bearing the blade weight.
