    摘要: The aim of the invention is to monitor the operating condition of a press, especially a packing press (1) while preventing the machine parts that are involved in the relative movements from fretting. Said aim is achieved by a) detecting amplitudes of vibrations during the time and/or a distance of a relative movement occurring between at least one compressor (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) and/or a door (5.1) and the press case (2.2) within a cycle that lasts from the beginning to the end of the compression process and the ejection of the pressed article, and predefining an admissible oscillation amplitude of the entire press within the control mechanism (16.2) as a “normal condition” for increments of the duration and/or the distance of the relative movements; b) generating an “alert value” lying above the maximum value established for the normal condition and a shut-off value lying above the alert value; c) inputting both threshold values of the alert value and the shut-off value in the control mechanism (16.2) of the press (1) for each relevant relative movement or each increment of the duration and/or the distance of the relative movement; and d) controlling operation of the press during the cycle lasting from the beginning to the end of the compression process or during the relevant relative movement by means of the control mechanism (16.2), a signal being displayed when the alert value and/or the shut-off value has/have been reached.

    摘要: A method and an installation for operating a system for comminuting scrap material is provided. The installation includes a supply device (1) for the scrap material to be comminuted, and a comminuting machine (2) with at least one motor-driven (2.3) rotor (2.2) which has comminuting tools (2.2.1) and is horizontally positioned in a housing (2.1) and has an ejection door (2.1.1). The inventive installation also includes drive means for controlling the power and for protecting the installation from scrap material which is difficult to comminute or which cannot be comminuted at all, such as coarse, heavy or hard parts. For optimizing the comminuting process, the values of the motor output, of the rotation speed of the rotor, of the temperature of the motor and the motor bearings and/or of the height of the scrap material flow (3) supplied to the comminuting machine (2), are inputted in a controller (4) and used to control/regulate the scrap material supply. Technical means (4.5, 4.6, 4.7) are provided in the region of the housing (2.1) for ejecting coarse, heavy or hard parts.

Utilizing the pressure that is automatically established in the tooth engagement and disengagement area, only the pinion is encapsulated over area of more than 180.degree. of its peripheral distance. The end of the encapsulation in the tooth disengagement area is designed so that there is constant enlargement of the uncovered cross-sectional area between the pinion and the gearwheel. Additionally, and the encapsulation is sealed on both sides relative to the non-toothed shaft area of the pinion.
