    摘要: A multilayered end effector for a mapping catheter including a first flexible circuit, a framework generally parallel to the first flexible circuit and separated therefrom by a first orthogonal gap orthogonal to the longitudinal axis, a second flexible circuit, and a location sensing coil layer having a plurality of coils suitably oriented and preferably disposed generally parallel to the framework and separated from the framework by a second orthogonal gap. The second flexible circuit can be separated from the location sensing coil layer by a third orthogonal gap. The first orthogonal gap, the second orthogonal gap, and the third orthogonal gap can be filled with a flexible non-conductive material, and the first face of the first flexible circuit and the first face of the second flexible circuit being coated with the flexible non-conductive material.

    摘要: A multi-electrode catheter is presented herein having a puller wire with a distal end bonded to a coupler tube between a catheter shaft body and end effector. Because the puller wire is bonded to the coupler tube, a distal portion of the catheter body shaft, at least up to a proximal end of the coupler tube, can be deflected when the puller wire is retracted. The coupler tube may also be flexible and be deflectable when the puller wire is retracted. The coupler tube may bend with a radius of curvature that is greater than, equal to, or less than a radius of curvature of the distal portion of the catheter body shaft, depending on design considerations of the catheter. The coupler tube may be made from a flexible material and/or may include sidewall slits which facilitate bending of the coupler tube.

    摘要: The disclosed technology includes a medical probe comprising a plurality of spine members that form a substantially cylindrical structure. Each spine is stamped from a continuous piece of flat stock and heat-treated to a configuration including a first section extending along a longitudinal axis from a first end to a first bend, a second section extending from the first section curvilinearly with respect to the longitudinal axis and comprising a bifurcation point, and a third section extending along the longitudinal axis from a second bend to a second end so that a proximal portion of the third section is generally parallel to the first section. The second section comprises a continuous leg and a discontinuous leg. The continuous leg extends between the first section and the bifurcation point. The discontinuous leg extends towards the first section and terminates at a termination point between the bifurcation point and the first end.
