    摘要: A method for improving the performance of a motor vehicle which has a cooler and a fan for cooling the vehicle's engine, the method includes detecting (s410) a temperature-related parameter which affects the engine's temperature during specific cooling conditions; and activating operation of the fan when the engine's temperature fulfils a predetermined condition; determining the (s440) predetermined condition on the basis of outcome as regards engine temperature over a predetermined period of time, and/or outcome as regards the detected parameter over a predetermined period of time. A computer program product includes program code (P) for a computer (200; 210) for implementing a method according to the invention. Also the device that performs the method and a motor vehicle equipped with the device are disclosed.

    摘要: An arrangement for recirculation of exhaust gases of a combustion engine (2) in a vehicle (1), including an exhaust line (4) to lead exhaust gases out from the combustion engine (2), and a return line (5) for recirculating part of the exhaust gases in the exhaust line (4) to the combustion engine (2). A high-temperature cooling system (11) containing a circulating coolant in the form of a liquid medium which, at an intended operating pressure in the high-temperature cooling system (11), has a boiling point of at least 150° C. An EGR cooler (10) subjects the recirculating exhaust gases in the return line (5) to a first step of cooling by the circulating high-temperature coolant. A radiator element (13) cools the high-temperature coolant by air. There is a second cooler cooled by engine coolant which cools gases in the return line. There is an optional third low-temperature cooling system and a further cooler in the third system cooling gases in the return line.

A thermal device (13, 26, 31) in contact with the coolant in the pilot line (12) at a location upstream of the sensing element (6b). A control unit (15) estimates when it is appropriate to alter the coolant's operating temperature in the cooling system and, at such times, activates the thermal device (13, 26, 31) so that it warms or cools the coolant in the pilot line (12).

The cooler arrangement comprises a first cooling element for cooling a first medium in the form of a circulating coolant, and a radiator fan adapted to generating an air flow through the first cooling element for cooling the coolant when it circulates through the first cooling element.
