Abstract: A steering system for a medical device may include a first drive member having a central longitudinal axis; a central shaft extending through the first drive member; a control knob coupled to the first drive member; a braking knob coupled to the central shaft and including a first protrusion; and a brake shoe member coupled to the central shaft between the control knob and the braking knob. The first protrusion may be positioned within a first channel of the brake shoe member; the first protrusion may be configured to engage the brake shoe member to move a first arm of the brake shoe member radially outward towards a wall of the control knob when the braking knob is rotated in a first direction; and the first arm may be configured to move away from the wall when the braking knob is rotated in a second direction.

Abstract: A valve may have a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The valve may include a valve stem having a lumen extending from a first opening at a proximal portion of the valve stem to a second opening at a distal end of the valve stem. A plurality of seals may be positioned relative to the valve stem. The valve stem and seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet is prevented from flowing to the outlet in a first position of the valve stem and relative to the inlet and the outlet. The valve stem and the seals may be configured so that a fluid entering the inlet flows to the outlet in a second position of the valve stem relative to the inlet and the outlet, the second position being more distal than the first position relative to the inlet and the outlet.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to medical tubing assemblies and methods for fluid delivery from a single fluid reservoir. In one example, a tubing assembly may be configured to couple to an endoscope for distributing fluid between the endoscope and a fluid reservoir during an endoscopic procedure. The assembly may comprise a tubing manifold, a cap configured to be removably attached to the fluid reservoir, a portion of gas supply tubing and lens wash supply tubing in fluid communication between the manifold and the endoscope, a portion of gas supply tubing in fluid communication between the cap and the manifold, and a portion of lens wash supply tubing in fluid communication between the fluid reservoir and the manifold. Further examples may include portions of irrigation supply tubing and portions of alternate gas supply tubing selectively connectable in fluid communication between the manifold, fluid reservoir and endoscope.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a container and tube set and methods for fluid delivery, and particularly an integrated container and tube set suitable for use with an endoscope to supply liquids and/or gases to the endoscope. The integrated container and tubes may include a container (e.g., water reservoir) containing a fluid and a gas, and a plurality of tubes integrally formed with the container. The integrated container may include an irrigation supply tube having a first lumen in fluid communication with the fluid, a lens wash supply tube having a second lumen in fluid communication with the fluid, a gas supply tube having a third lumen in operative communication with the gas, and an optional alternative gas supply tube having a fourth lumen in fluid communication with the gas. The lens wash supply tube and the gas supply tube may be formed as a single, multi-lumen tube.

Abstract: A valve for use in an endoscope may comprise a proximal valve stem member having a first lumen extending from a proximal opening at a proximalmost end of the proximal valve stem member to a distal opening at a distalmost end of the proximal valve stem member. A distal valve stem member may have a second lumen with a proximal opening at a proximalmost end of the distal valve stem member. The proximalmost end of distal valve stem member may be received within the distal opening of the first lumen. The distal valve stem may be movable relative to the proximal valve stem.

Abstract: A method of loading an expandable stent into a delivery device may include positioning a middle portion of the expandable stent in a collapsing fixture including a passage extending therethrough, radially compressing the middle portion of the expandable stent in the passage before any other portion of the expandable stent while a first end of the expandable stent is disposed outside of the passage, moving the collapsing fixture relative to the expandable stent, radially compressing the expandable stent from the middle portion toward the first end of the expandable stent, and inserting the first end of the expandable stent followed by the middle portion of the expandable stent into a distal end of an elongate outer sheath of the delivery device.

Abstract: Apparatuses for manipulating a collapsible medical device include a sheath, a first shaft including a first grasping member and a second grasping member. The second grasping member is separated from the first grasping member by a distance. The collapsible medical device may be manipulated by actuating the first grasping member and the second grasping member and by increasing the distance between the first grasping member and the second grasping member. Methods of using the apparatuses are provided.
