A medical device may include a handle, a sheath fixed relative to the handle, a longitudinal actuator movable relative to the handle, an end effector, a member extending proximally from the end effector through the sheath, with a portion of the member being fixed relative to the longitudinal actuator, and a rotation actuator. Movement of the rotation actuator may cause rotation of the member relative to the sheath, and movement of the longitudinal actuator may cause longitudinal movement of the member relative to the rotation actuator.

The medical device may include an elongate member having a proximal end and a distal end, and a plurality of legs coupled to the distal end of the elongate member. The medical device may also include a moveable element distal to the distal end of the elongate member, disposed around the plurality of legs. The moveable element may be reciprocally moveable relative to the elongate member and plurality of legs between a first and second position. The plurality of legs may be in a collapsed configuration when the moveable element is in the first position, and may be in an expanded configuration when the moveable element is in the second position.

Abstract:
Devices, systems, and methods for facilitating access to the pancreaticobiliary system are disclosed. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices used to apply suction to the papilla, e.g., duodenal tissue surrounding the papilla, to facilitate cannulation to reach the bile duct and/or pancreatic duct. Devices may include a suction cup or an endoscope cap configured to apply suction to a tissue surface.
