摘要： A system and method for installing a decorative exterior on a standard signpost is disclosed. A first exterior shell is mounted on one side of the post, and a second exterior shell is mounted on the other. Discs halves are also provided which, when installed between the post and the shells, cause the shells to be securely fastened to the post. In another alternative system, a midsection of the post cover is installed as a tube that slides over two solid discs that are slid onto the post and supported by grommets.

摘要： A printing member for a press with dampening is made by forming in a metal body an exposed surface which is cleaned and polished sufficiently to render it oleophilic due to surface tension. Then the surface is heated at selected image points thereon without contacting the surface and without penetrating through the body to create tiny surface fissures or capillaries at the image points which render the surface hydrophilic at the image points.

A preferred plate embodiment includes a multiplicity of tiny electrically conductive peaks in the plate which point away from the substrate and are in a relatively uniform distribution across the plate surface area.

摘要： The present invention includes a portable battery with a shaped positive terminal that may be used as a tool for engaging a battery door fastener. The terminal protrudes from the positive end of the battery similar to a traditional cap and base battery terminal. The shape allows the positive terminal to engage with a battery door fastener and, when the battery is rotated, drive the fastener into either an open or closed position. This allows the battery door to be locked or unlocked without the hassle of locating a separate tool such as a screwdriver. To replace a battery, a person uses the replacement battery to disengage the battery door fastener, opens the battery door, replaces the used battery, then closes the door and reengages the fastener with the used battery. The shaped terminal may also serve as a three dimensional identifier for which end of the battery is the positive terminal.

摘要： Disclosed is a cover for a conventional post, e.g., a T-post commonly used in landscaping, farming, and other fields. The cover has a partially hollow tubular body that is able to slidingly receive a post. A ratchet strip is included on the inside of the cover. Catches on the ratchet strip engage barbs on the post preventing removal. A release strap is provided which is receivable into the hollow cover. The strap comes between the catches and barbs allowing cover removal.
