    摘要: The present disclosure includes a system and method for conducting radio frequency signals using multiple layers. In some implementations, a signal transfer element configured to passively transfer RF signals between a first region and a second region includes a first conductor layer having a first continuous conductor configured as a first portion of a first antenna, a transmission line, and a first portion of a second antenna. The first antenna and the second antenna are configured to wirelessly receive and transmit Radio Frequency (RF) signals. The signal transfer element also includes a second conductor layer having a second continuous conductor configured as a second portion of the first antenna, a ground plane, and a second portion of the second antenna. The first conductor layer and the second conductor layer are spatially proximate such that the transmission line and the ground plane are configured to passively transfer RF signals between the first antenna and the second antenna independent of an electrical connection between the first conductor layer and the second conductor layer.

    摘要: Multi-frequency, low-profile, capacitively loaded magnetic dipole antennas to be used in wireless communications. Each antenna comprises one to n antenna elements and each element having one to n arms. The various antenna embodiments can cover a range of frequencies to be determined by the shape, size, and number of elements in the physical configuration of the antenna. The antenna configuration can also be adapted to expand frequency bands covered by the antenna or to fit within space restrictions dictated by specific antenna applications.

    摘要: A multi-function array is described where several communication system functions are realized using the same antenna architecture. An array of antenna elements where each antenna element can generate multiple radiation patterns is described; the multiple radiation patterns from each antenna element provides increased capability and flexibility in generating a phased array, a MIMO antenna system, a receive diversity antenna system, as well as direction finding feature by way of an interferometer function provided by one or multiple elements. The small volume attributes of the antenna elements populating the array lend this technique to mobile wireless devices as well as access points.
