摘要: A technique that enables application of additional conveyance force to a print medium and conveyance of various sizes of print media without multi-feed is described. A conveyance device includes a feed unit, a first conveyance unit that conveys a print medium, and a second conveyance unit that conveys a print medium fed by the feed unit to the first conveyance unit, and is capable of correcting the skew of a print medium by causing the second conveyance unit to convey the print medium with its leading edge in abutment with the first conveyance unit. This conveyance device is configured to cause the feed unit to apply conveyance force to a print medium conveyed by the second conveyance unit, depending on the size of the print medium in the conveyance direction.

摘要: Provided is a printing apparatus that allows the user to easily perceive that the cover is unlocked. In the printing apparatus that includes: a cover unit configured to expose the conveying path, along which the printing medium is conveyed, to the outside when the cover unit is opened and that shields the conveying path when the cover unit is closed; and a locking configured to lock the cover unit to keep it closed, and that performs printing on the printing medium being conveyed along the conveying path, the cover unit is urged by an urging unit in the opening direction. In addition, when the locking unit unlocks the cover unit the cover unit is opened by a predetermined degree by the urging force of the urging unit.

摘要: A printing apparatus according to the present invention includes a feeding unit, a conveying unit, a printing unit, and a control unit. The control unit performs a successive feeding operation. An operating state of the feeding unit changes between a first operating state and a second operating state in which a feeding stop is more unstable than that in the first operating state, in a period from a start of feeding a printing medium until the printing medium reaches the conveying unit. In the successive feeding operation, a subsequent printing medium is fed without stopping until a leading end of the subsequent printing medium reaches a stoppable position. The stoppable position is arranged on an upstream side of the conveying unit. The subsequent printing medium can be stopped in the first operating state at the stoppable position.

摘要: A recording apparatus includes a print head, a recovery unit, a type obtaining unit, a threshold obtaining unit, and a calculation unit. The print head forms an image by applying a recording material to a recording medium. The recovery unit performs a recovery operation for recovering an ejection state of the print head. The type obtaining unit obtains a type of the recording medium on which the image is to be recorded. The threshold obtaining unit obtains a threshold for performing the recovery operation corresponding to the obtained type of the recording medium. The calculation unit calculates a count-up value by adding, in response to recording on the recording medium, an addition value set for each of types of recording media. The recovery operation is performed in a case where the count-up value calculated by the calculation unit exceeds the threshold obtained by the threshold obtaining unit.

摘要: For a printing apparatus, a first conveyance speed for a first printing medium is determined according to first print data to be printed on the first printing medium and a second conveyance speed for a second printing medium is determined according to second print data to be printed on the second printing medium that follows the first printing medium along a conveying path. In a case where the second conveyance speed is equal to the first conveyance speed, a conveyance operation of the second printing medium is started before the first printing medium is discharged from the conveying path. In a case where the second conveyance speed is different from the first conveyance speed, the conveyance operation of the second printing medium is started after the first printing medium is discharged from the conveying path.

摘要: A printing device that prints on media held in a tray, including: a first roller section including a first conveyance roller; a second roller section including a second conveyance roller and a pinch roller; and a printing section provided between the first and the second roller sections; wherein printing is performed on the top surface of the media in the printing section while the tray is being conveyed by the first and the second roller sections; and wherein the tray is such that friction surfaces having a coefficient of friction that is higher than that of the other portions of the tray are formed in portions that come in contact with the first conveyance roller when the tray is taken in by the first roller section and the tip end of the tray advances to a gripping section between the second conveyance roller and the pinch roller.
