Abstract: An abnormality detection unit according to the invention includes a processor, and a light source device configured to emit light for each of segment periods that are time divided within a frame, and the processor obtains an illuminance value of light emitted into the frame from the light source device after a predetermined delay time has elapsed, whereupon a segment period results where a highest illuminance value is obtained, from a timing of receiving a trigger signal that is in synchronism with the frame, and detects that the light source device is in an abnormal state, when the illuminance value is less than a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A level shifter included in a device includes an external interface power circuit configured to supply a power voltage corresponding to electrical input-output characteristics of an interface circuit of an external device, an internal interface power circuit configured to supply a power voltage corresponding to electrical input-output characteristics of an internal interface circuit in the device, a power switch configured to control power supply to the external interface power unit according to an electrical signal from the external device, and a selector configured to control conduction between the interface circuit of the external device and the internal interface circuit. The selector is configured to transition to an operable state when the external interface power unit is supplied with power.

Abstract: An electronic device includes first and second connecting wires to which first and second signal wires are connectable, respectively, and a first resistor. The first signal wire transmits a first signal between the electronic device and an external device. The second signal wire transmits a second signal from the external device to the electronic device. The first resistor is disposed between the first connecting wire and a power source of the electronic device. A resistance value of the first resistor is set such that an output voltage from the second connecting wire is lower than a reference value when a voltage of the power source is input to the second connecting wire via the first connecting wire and the external device in a state in which the first and second signal wires are electrically connected to one another and the second signal is not input to the second signal wire.
