摘要: An edge seal for a modular thermal isolation barrier for preventing passage of air through a gap in a data processing equipment arrangement includes a seal portion and a base portion. The seal portion is formed of a resilient material capable of deflection by a rigid adjacent structure. The base portion is formed of a rigid material and includes a pair of side channels opening at opposite sides thereof and a panel-receiving end channel. Each of the pair of side channels includes a first distal flange arranged to extend inwardly from one side of the respective channel and a second distal flange arranged to extend inwardly, and toward the first distal flange, from the other side of the respective channel, whereby each side channel is generally C-shaped and includes a channel opening having a width that is narrower than a width of a channel interior. Each of the seal portion and the base portion has a generally uniform cross-sectional shape.

摘要: A brush port assembly includes a bezel frame and a brush component. The bezel frame is comprised of an elongate body having first and second ends, a top surface, and an underside. The elongate body is formed as a generally enclosed shape that frames an opening, whereby the first and second ends are arranged in an end-to-end relationship with a gap therebetween. The brush component has a spine member from which a plurality of bristles extend. The spine member is secured to the underside of the elongate body such that the bristles substantially entirely cover the opening. The bezel frame is installable, without the aid of tools, along an exposed edge of a brush port opening in a surface of an electronic equipment enclosure. Additionally, the bezel frame is installable around a cable that passes through the brush port opening by maneuvering the cable through the gap.

摘要: A method of adapting an electronic equipment structure for cable management, the method comprising: providing a cable manager having one or more cable finger units extending from a frame, the frame including at least one spine member having an extruded construction and one or more ledges that extend along a length thereof; providing an accessory rod assembly having a base member and an accessory rod, wherein the base member includes a front-facing socket, a rear-facing hook, and a rotatable knob having a threaded end received within a threaded portion at a side of the base member, and wherein the accessory rod has an extruded construction and a generally uniform, at least partially cylindrical, cross-sectional shape; positioning the rear-facing hook of the base member against one side of the one or more ledges of the at least one spine member; rotating the rotatable knob such that the threaded end is wound within the threaded portion of the base member and bears on an opposite side of the one or more ledges of the at least one spine member, thereby clamping the at least one spine member between the rear-facing hook and the rotatable knob; and positioning a proximal end of the accessory rod within the front-facing socket of the base member such that the accessory rod extends therefrom into a cable management space.

摘要: A method of installing a cage nut fastener against a frame member without the aid of tools includes: providing a cage nut fastener having a spring cage and a nut prevented from rotation within the spring cage, wherein the spring cage includes first and second lever arms arranged at opposite sides thereof, each lever arm extending in a rearward direction behind a back wall of the spring cage; applying a compression force upon at least one of the lever arms, without the aid of tools, to manipulate the spring cage to a compressed state; positioning a distal end of each of the lever arms through an aperture of the frame member; and releasing the compression force so that a portion of each of the lever arms presses against an edge of the aperture, thereby securing the cage nut fastener against the frame member.

The backbone assembly includes a spine member having an extruded construction. The spine member includes one or more channels extending substantially an entire length thereof to facilitate easy attachment, removal and/or repositioning of a structure relative to the spine member. The cable manager optionally includes an accessory rod, a half-spool assembly, a cable finger accessory, a strap/buckle accessory, and/or a door assembly having an interference-free hinge set.

摘要: A data processing equipment structure includes a plurality of vertical and horizontal frame components, which, together, define an equipment structure frame, and a plurality of panels disposed relative to the equipment structure frame to define a periphery. At least one of the plurality of vertical and horizontal frame components is an extruded strut having a generally uniform cross-section. The extruded strut includes an outwardly-facing channel extending along each of a pair of opposing sides of the extruded strut, at least one of which includes a set of evenly-spaced ridges, extending along each of two sides of the channel, for accommodating a threaded fastener. The extruded strut further includes one or more ledges, each having a depth sufficient to accommodate a thickness of one of the plurality of panels.

摘要: A cage nut fastener, capable of installation against a frame member without the aid of tools, includes a spring cage and a nut retained within a space defined by the spring cage and prevented from rotation therein. The spring cage includes a back wall with a wall aperture therethrough, a cage arm extending in a forward direction from a side of the back wall, and a lever arm disposed at a side of the back wall that is opposite the cage arm. The nut includes a nut aperture therethrough that is generally aligned with the wall aperture of the back wall. The lever arm includes an extension portion that extends in a rearward direction behind the back wall of the spring cage. Application of a compression force upon the lever arm, without the aid of tools, manipulates the spring cage to a compressed state that facilitates positioning of a distal end of each of the cage arm and the lever arm through an aperture of a frame member so that, upon release of the compression force, the spring cage and the nut are secured against the frame member.
