Abstract: An electrode assembly includes a positive electrode layer, a negative electrode layer, and an separator. The positive electrode layer, negative electrode layer, and separator are wound to form the electrode assembly. The separator wraps on both sides of each positive electrode layer and each negative electrode layer. A current collector of the negative electrode layer is made of a three-dimensional porous metal material. The negative electrode layer includes a first negative electrode section and a second negative electrode section extending along a winding direction and connected to each other. A winding start end of the second negative electrode section is substantially aligned with a winding termination end of the positive electrode layer. A thickness d2 of the second negative electrode section is less than a thickness d1 of the first negative electrode section.

Abstract: This application discloses an electrode plate, an electrode assembly, a battery cell, a battery, an electrical device, and an electrode plate manufacturing method and equipment. The electrode plate includes a foamed metal layer. A part of the foamed metal layer is a filled region. Pores of the filled region are filled with a filler. The filler extends continuously from one edge to another edge of the foamed metal layer, the two edges being arranged on two opposite sides along a first preset direction. The first preset direction is perpendicular to a thickness direction of the foamed metal layer. In the electrode plate disclosed in this application, a part of the foamed metal layer is configured as a filling region filled with a filler.

A first insulator clads at least a partial metal surface of the first surface area. The negative electrode sheet with this structure makes it difficult for lithium ions to obtain electrons on the surface of the porous matrix during use, which can effectively alleviate precipitation of lithium metal and formation of dendritic crystals on the surface of the negative electrode sheet.
